"They were great moving guys. The staff was easy to work with. They moved our entire apartment and our storage unit in about eight hours. This would be the best money you could spend on a move."

"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Fantastic! They arrived right on time and were very fast and efficient in the process of moving everything. All of our items arrived to the new place in perfect condition, nothing was broken. We had Conner and Caleb help with this move and they were so polite, kind, and wonderful to work with. This is the second time I have used Greatland transportation for a move and they did not disappoint. My first move with them was just as great! Conner was on the job that time too! This is a top notch moving company and I am so impressed with everyone I have worked with. Kurt is really quick to respond to any questions over the phone and email. The estimate given for both moves was right on track too. Moving is not much fun but when you are confident in the company moving you, it makes it so much better."

Moving questions, answered by experts

Moving a kitchen cabinet can be extremely tricky for DIYers, especially if it's attached to plumbing, electrical outlets, or walls. The project requires meticulous planning, the right tools, and some muscle, not to mention a friend or two to help. While experienced do-it-yourselfers can manage it, hiring a pro is often safer to avoid damaging cabinets, countertops, or surrounding fixtures.

Yes, you can use a dolly to move a treadmill, though you won't always need one. If your treadmill has wheels and you’re moving it to a different location on the same floor, you can likely skip the dolly. But if you’re moving it up a flight of stairs or to a new home, a dolly can help you move it more easily.

You should consider hiring professional movers for moves that seem too daunting, dangerous, or involve large, heavy objects. The larger your home and the longer the distance, the more likely you are to need professional help. A moving service can take the hardest tasks off your plate and reduce the risk of personal injury. However, if you are only moving a few light items, you can save money by moving on your own and renting a truck. Keep in mind that a DIY move requires significant planning and time. A hybrid option is also available, where you hire movers just to lift and transport heavy items to your vehicle.

The cost of a long-distance move depends on several factors, including whether you hire movers, use a moving truck, and the size of your move. For a 1,000-mile move, you’ll need to hire interstate movers and ask them for an estimate based on the details of your move. Keep in mind that a 1,000-mile move will likely cost $10,000 or more.

Professionals can typically move a one-bedroom apartment in three to five hours. It will take longer if you have many belongings or the destination is far away. The time will also increase if the movers must handle large and cumbersome items, like full sets of dressers and antique wood furniture. DIY moves take significantly longer, typically lasting a full day or more.
