Greatland Transportation is a privately owned and locally operated moving company. The current owner, Kurt Stanze, started the business in 1990. We have 5 fully equipped moving trucks and approximately 10 full and part-time employees. We can start your moving process today by answering questions on phone or by email.

The move couldn't have gone better. I was particularly concerned for my adjustable bed, bed the men knew exactly how to prepare and move it. They were extremely efficient, easy-going, and very careful with my furniture. I am keeping Greatland Transportation's contact number so that I can suggest the company to friends.

Kurt and his team of movers did excellent work. On time, professional, and helpful. They were very careful and had all the needed supplies to ensure no damage was done to any of our items. We will be hiring them for another job at the end of the year. Good work guys!

Greatland was fabulous. They moved all of our furniture as we moved all of our boxes ourselves. They came early and were ready to get started. They wrapped all of our fragile pieces quickly and efficiently. They were skilled and highly trained. Their team showed excellent customer service and took great care with our belongings. I never seen anyone move a three bedroom house worth of furniture and a piano in 2 hours. I was amazed at how much we saved because of their speed and efficiency. Wow!!! I will definitely use them again.

Kurt and his crew were friendly, punctual and did an awesome job moving all the things I needed moved with no damage for a move three hours away. Gave me a fair quote and stuck to the quote. Did everything above and beyond to make a stressful move so smooth. Moved at the start of all this craziness of covid and Kurt reassured me and put my mind at ease that everything would still go as planned. I’ve used a few different companies and no other compares to Greatland! I will for sure call Kurt for my move in the future! Thank you so much!

The crew was a dream: Professional, polite, patient and careful. I had arranged the move for my age 80s+ in-laws and the crew helped make them feel at ease with everything. The move included an upright piano that my MIL wanted in a bedroom down a tight hallway, which was a tight fit but the crew managed it beautifully. I had chosen Greatland based on Angie’s List reviews and after speaking with the owner. The price was very fair based on what my in-laws had paid in the past. Needless to say I recommend Greatland highly.

Not sure how the whole process could have gone better. It was A+ from the get go. Submitted inquiry through Angie's List. Kurt is a pro and heard back from him that same day. Very helpful with questions and helped walk me through the process. When moving day came we were just about ready, and Greatland Transportation took care of the rest. Professionals, on time, hard working, careful and reasonably priced. Keep up the great work Kurt. I have no advice on how to make your service better....congrats and see you in January for Phase II !!

I can't say enough good things about Greatland Transportation. They were able to accommodate a long distance move in short notice, and on a holiday weekend! Kurt, the owner, is wonderful. He returned my call immediately, explained the process and pricing clearly, and even called a day before the actual move to see if any changes were needed. They showed up precisely at the time agreed upon and packed everything quickly and very carefully. They placed runners in both houses to prevent tracking in any dirt and were extremely courteous and personable. On top of this, their pricing is very affordable. I would hire again without question. Don't waste your time getting quotes from other companies. I don't think Greatland Transportation's service can be equaled.

Fantastic! They arrived right on time and were very fast and efficient in the process of moving everything. All of our items arrived to the new place in perfect condition, nothing was broken. We had Conner and Caleb help with this move and they were so polite, kind, and wonderful to work with. This is the second time I have used Greatland transportation for a move and they did not disappoint. My first move with them was just as great! Conner was on the job that time too! This is a top notch moving company and I am so impressed with everyone I have worked with. Kurt is really quick to respond to any questions over the phone and email. The estimate given for both moves was right on track too. Moving is not much fun but when you are confident in the company moving you, it makes it so much better.

Great! Make no mistake, moving is horrible, but I tell you what - Kurt and his crew are so pleasant to work with, it almost makes me want to do it again! OK, that's an exaggeration, but not by much. What a great group of people - responsive, honest, respectful of your things, home and time, AND pleasant to be around. That's an unusual combo in any business, much less the moving industry. They did exactly what they said they would do, exactly when they said they would do it, for exactly the quote they provided - well, except for the things I added on after the fact that they gracefully accommodated. I had about 70 boxes of household goods, and ONE broken item - ONE - a pyrex baking dish. And that was my packing mistake - their handling had nothing to do with it. All of my items were placed in my new home where requested and it made unpacking so much easier. Using Greatland was a great decision and saved me untold amounts of stress in what was a very stressful time!

Excellent. Greenland gave me a very fair fixed charge for the time and cost of going to So. MN and back to Woodbury. Kurt and John were the employees and the pick up and delivery to the room was accomplished very professionally. Kurt shrink wrapped a lot of the furniture and then used the moving "blankets" to further protect it. I also asked him to move a old freezer and refrigerator which was in the lower level of the house up to the garage so both could be thrown away. It was accomplished without any damage to doors or walls.

I have moved houses 11 times in the past 15 years through a variety of relocations for my job between from London to New York, with New York, to San Francisco, back to London, within London, to Connecticut, to Minneapolis, within Minneapolis and now from Minneapolis to another location within Minnesota. At this stage, I would probably consider myself a relocation veteran. I've seen it all - the good, the bad, the horribly awful and the exceptional. I would happily and wholeheartedly give Kurt and his team at Greatland Transportation the attribute of EXCEPTIONAL. From beginning to end it has been an absolute pleasure working with Greatland. They are responsive, professional, extremely reliable and they made the whole process of moving house (hopefully for the last time in a long time!) easy, straightforward and stress-free. Not only that, but at a very reasonable price that I would suggest is extremely high value for money. Kurt first gave me a rough estimate over the phone, he and his project manager then came over to the house to provide a more accurate estimate which ended up being slightly less than originally expected. Next they came over a few days before the move to pack everything up, making sure to ask about anything they weren't sure of (we left a few things behind in our old home for the new owners) and took great care of all our of delicate items: wine glasses, mirrors, picture frames, TVs, computers, etc. The moving out day completed ahead of schedule and went like clockwork, the move-in was exactly the same. We were fortunate to have Kurt, the owner, personally oversee the packing and the move-in. His project manager took care of move-out and did a terrific job in Kurt's absence. We did a quick check in before we moved to make sure we understood the plan and then Kurt did a detailed review of the move-in before we completed the job and paid the bill. Since completing the job a week ago Kurt has been in touch to make sure we're happy and to see if we had any questions or any issues that might have arose since we unpacked. I'm happy to say that everything is still fine and we're extremely grateful to Kurt and the team at Greatland Transportation. THANK YOU!!

Not only was this team prompt and professional. Kurt and team made every effort to make the packing from one home to delivery to another go so smoothly and quickly and efficiently. This company and team were ready to work even though It was a very cold winters day! All furniture and boxes arrived in great shape. They maintained a clean environment and kept the floors and carpets clean with runners ect. The use of wardrobe boxes made closet emptying a breeze. Very friendly respectful and hardworking staff.

We have moved a number of times over 30 years. We have hired very expensive National movers and much lower cost local movers. As the saying goes, "we got what we paid for." Greatland Transportation proved to be an exception to this rule. They gave us the care and service we have experienced with the top-shelf movers with none of the headaches we endured with the lower cost local movers. They far exceeded our expectations and made our move tolerable. We feel the price they charged was very reasonable for the high-quality, conscientious and polite service they offer. We would use them again and do recommend them without reservation.

We sold our 3500 ft2 home in Minnesota and purchased another in Kansas. Given timing differences in closing and some remodeling of the Kansas home, we need to leave our goods in storage in Minnesota for several months. I called Greatland and spoke with the owner, Kurt Stanze. After getting the gist of our situation over the phone, he came over to our house and did a walk through with us. Kurt recommended that we contact Public Storage and get a 10x30 ft storage unit. Kurt said he was willing do do any part of our move or the entire thing at our choice and he bid the project in that manner. He also advised on how we should package our goods. We liked Kurt and his approach so much that we had his company do the entire project which entailed moving our goods to the storage unit, then removing them from that unit later and moving them into our Kansas home. He handled all difficulties that naturally arose during this multi-step process to our complete satisfaction. A couple of examples...he told me about some damage done to an end table and took it with him and returned it repaired; the wheel from a dolly left a mark on the carpet and he immediately said he would pay for the cleaning (which he did). His pricing was very competitive, but more important to us than that was the quality of work. Kurt and his employees take pride in their company. I have not the slightest reservation in recommending his company to anyone needing it. Kurt will give you very good service.
