"Chad was able to deliver exactly what I wanted. He did it in a prompt time frame considering it was at the beginning of the winter. He vacuumed and removed all the old insulation to eliminate any that might have mold. He then sealed any openings and ceiling fixtures with spray foam. The next step was to install new air chutes in all rafter cavities. The final step was to blow in cellulose insulation to an R49 value. About 16". In addition I asked him to install a couple more soffit vents on the outside of the house as well as relocating an old bathroom vent from it's original exterior wall outlet to a roof outlet. All this was accomplished in one day. Chad does the work himself with a couple additional guys in his crew. He was very knowledgable about insulating and the physics of heat loss in a northern climate."

We discussed how our property was going to be protected during the install, timing for project completion, performance and product warranty, insurance and license requirements, clean-up, etc. We are completely satisfied with the work of Mr. Roman's crew. The roof was completed on time (in 1.5 days) even though the crew of six had to stop working a couple times (after tarping off work areas) due to heavy intermittent rain showers.  The crew arrived and left on time and also thoroughly cleaned up after the job was complete.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"We have had several companies give us a quote on windows over the past year.  Lacina's prices were very competitive.  Their representative was very professional, even removed his shoes during the quoting process.  He contacted us several times after we had signed the contract asking if we had any questions. 
Within a month of signing the contract our windows were ready to be installed, in keeping with the scheudle we were promised.  During the scheduling process we were contacted by a representative and their installer making sure the day and time we choose still worked.  The installers showed up at 8:30, right on time.  They laid down blankets to protect our wood floors and help move furniture.  They ran a shop vac during anything that might create a mess.  Removing the old windows and installing the replacements took about four hours.  The only problem that cam up was that our large picture window was ordered an inch larger than measured.  Luckily the opening for the window was large enough to accommodate it.  After their hour break the installers got right to work finishing the window wrapping and trim details.  This took about three hours.  When the whole process was complete an installer walked me through how to care for the windows and how to complete the manufacturer warranty."
