"Jim advised us on the options- which were to either repair and hope to get another winter's use from our furnace, or replace it while the weather was still mild and avoid a potential emergency situation.  We also called other contractors in the HVAC business- but they were all priced higher and didn't seem too concerned about wanting our business(2 didn't even call back).  Jim was very professional, his work was top-notch and you could tell that he cared about what he was doing.  Very knowledgeable and good follow-up to make sure we were happy.  He even provided us with all of the completed paperwork to qualify for energy tax credits.  Overall- just a great experience... since then, we have recommended Jim and his company to several relatives and friends- and they all have had the same type of experience."

"I have a century-old house with an old and non-functioning gas fireplace.  The fireplace is in the sunroom (freezing this time of year!) and I wanted to check out my options for using the fireplace.
The folks at the Roseville showroom were very friendly.  My contact, John, has extensive experience with my kind of house and fireplace.  He explained things very clearly and talked to me about gas vs electric, different insert options, the necessary preparation, approximate installation time, etc.  The estimate was more than I wanted to spend and I ended up not committing at the time--there was no pressure around my decision.
I don't yet know how Fireside prices compare to other providers, but I found them very knowledgeable and would re-visit them.

"My water heater was leaking and these guys were able to fit me into their schedule for the very next day. Told me what they were going to do and all the step involved for the replacement and then followed through. Very good company."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

Appliances typically connected to a gas line include gas stoves, water heaters, furnaces, and gas fireplaces. Essentially, any appliance in your home that uses gas needs to be connected to a gas line, which connects your home with the main gas line owned and operated by your gas company.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.
