"I have meant to write this review a year ago... so I'm a little late, but I wanted to be sure to let everyone know what a wonderful job Joanne and her staff, here in Duluth did for us.  We had a house fire the end of August a year ago.  Joanne and John came out the very next day, after calling them,and immediately assessed what needed to be done!  Joanne also took time to meet with the insurance adjuster when he came to look at the damages.  Their team went to work right away and stayed on the job, drying out the damage from the water, making sure the smoke smell was eliminated.  Our whole upstairs had to be torn out and completely rebuilt.  They worked very hard tearing everything down to the studs and getting it ready for the contractor.  It was a lot of work and all of the staff were very professional, they really knew their job and what needed to be done.  They were efficient in everything they did.  All of our furniture and belongings needed to be taken out and cleaned, due to the smoke damage.  They did an excellent job!  They worked with the company that cleaned our clothing, and because of Joanne, all of that process went well.  I know that they went the extra mile for us.  Thank you Joanne and all of your staff!  - Linda, Bob and Rob

"The people they sent out came out, they came out , I think about 4 or 5 different times. I talked with the technicians and said, "this is ridiculous, the furnace is old" and he said, "we agree, but they only want to do the patching". They would patch it and it would break, they would patch it, and it would break. Finally, I said, "I want a new furnace. What do we have to do to do a new furnace. You've been out here, this is like the 6th time," and he said, "I'll have my manager write something up", and so they did and they replaced the furnace. They tried. They were more interested in patching things than replacing things. They were willing to send out 4 or 5 different parts. The things that I see that would help the most is if it were easier to get a hold of them on the phone or if their website worked. Just being able to contact someone in person. Sometimes, you can't explain everything online. We were able to get a hold of them, we were able to talk to them. It just takes some time, they had to jump through the hoops with their company, we understood that, but they came through and got us a new furnace. A nice new furnace too."

From our first meeting we were impressed with the respectful manner & professional responses to our questions. When some of the original boards installed on the porch warped  they didn't just replace the warped area they replaced the whole floor. When the original coat of paint was too gritty they quickly added another coat of paint to make it less gritty but still made sure it wasn't too slippery. It cost a little bit more but the original concrete steps were replaced with new wooden ones that had a safer "rise" & looked better with the new railings. We've been very pleased & will definitely use Marshall services again.
