"We had noticed water in our basement at 6pm at night and luckily we found Loyear online. They stayed late into the night and came back with more guys later the next day to finish pulling out the water. Then they started the next process of fixing and replacing the damaged walls. Great communication throughout the entire process and John made sure everything was smooth sailing with billing our insurance and even supplied all the photos that we forgot to take. "Horrible The experience was awful with this people. I didn't know this company at all, my insurance company send me a list of 5 general contractors to take care of my house, so I pick J Benson because they were close to my house and I want it to keep the contractor local and close. So I went with them. They send an estimator like one day after the damage of the house, I signed the paperwork and two days later they send a different person because the first guy had previews commitments, so that was the first red flag. The second estimator took a lot more pics of the house and did he's first estimate, he submitted to the adjuster and it passed just fine. But then it took them almost one whole month before any one started to work in my house, not a single nail was removed or anything. Then I found out that numerous contractors were going in and out of my house with out me knowing it. Finally the work started and the job "foreman" got involved, this guy was even worst, he only called and picked up the phone when he need it something for me other ways good luck trying to get a hold of him. This guy should be FIRED and never allowed to work on the field again. One day I called him and he's answer was "what do you need, I am kind of busy right now" Awesome. Then I asked for an estimate to build a brand new bathroom in the basement. The estimator give me he's quote and we agreed on the price, so they started the project about one month after the paperwork was signed. About 80% of the work was done when I found out that the estimator "FORGOT" to add the toilet and the tub on the estimate!!!!!! How can any one do that????? So I had to came up with that $$$ And then there was the communication with office personnel. Since day one right after I signed the paperwork I offer to give them money, the estimator said "some one from the office will contact you" NO one ever did, weeks went by with out a single person contacting me about money. Finally some one did and every time we communicated there was a mistake with the numbers, every time there was an "I am sorry I forgot" Unreal this people. A couple of weeks before the project was done and I was super upset with every one involved at this point I requested a supervisor. He reached out to me and we meet at my house. He right away start asking me for money, I pretty much lost my cool there and I went off about all of the issues I was having with he's people. He's answer " I am sorry I wasn't aware of the issues" This shows how unprofessional this company is I can't believe how this people are in business not only in the twin cities but in southern Minnesota."

"In June of 2018 Steven Hatcher from SafeGuard home inspection came and inspected the home we were purchasing. The report he gave stated little to concerned about so we believed everything was great and went forward with the purchase. However when we then moved in it’s been nothing but problems and at this point it has financially ruined our family. The things he missed are staggering. Plumbing, electrical and structural. We got two licensed plumbers who are home inspectors and one electrician. All of them said he is either blind, ignorant and incompetent or he did a professional favor for the seller who was also a supposed licensed home inspector. Or all of the above. We can’t use the washer because it’s plumbed into the sump pump tied incorrectly into the sewer line. We can’t use the dishwasher because the drain line was put in the main sewer line and caulked to seal it, this was blatantly visible and not code. Shower put in upside down, sink not mounted or plumbed correct. Exposed wiring and so much more that it take a book to write it all down. He is not an inspector but a fraud and I’m sure lazy because he did a lousy job. We can’t drain water we barely can use one toilet. We are devastated. We talked to a lawyer but it would be over 20k, the work is over 50k or more. If he just did his job and caught even a fraction of the major code violations we would never had bought. We put our life savings in to buy and now we have no way to fix this we may have to just walk away. The inspectors we paid after the fact couldn’t believe he could be that bad. If we gotten a real inspector we wouldn’t be in this mess. We found out any fool can be an inspector in this state there are no requirements. We found out the hard way and it cost us everything. If we could give him lower than an F we would. Please don’t ever ever use Him."
