"Highly recommend this company. They responded quickly to my inquiry and were very professional in their presentation. Justin went above and beyond in installation of the sump pump which I purchased from him. He found a few things which needed to be corrected and he corrected them. Very much appreciated his efforts to make things safer and more efficient for me. If further water proofing is necessary Liebenow Waterproofing would be the first company I would call."

"I had a small amount of water/moisture intruding into the basement from where the wall met the floor along the North side of my basement. I called and set up an estimate with All-Star Basements after reading other reviews/quotes on Angie's list. The inspector, Rob, arrived and looked at the basement. He was courteous, professional, and answered all my questions. He gave me a very competitive quote for laying a drain tile system from the inside. The work consists of tearing up the concrete (2' width) along the inside basement walls and laying rock and drain hose leading to an inside sump pump then pouring new concrete over the excavated area. My area of concern was the North and North-East corner of the house. Rob bid $2000 to install a system that covers 2' of the West wall, the entire North wall, and 6' of the East wall and a sump pump. A 30' length job in total for $2,000.
The day of the project I received a call that the workers would start about two hours late because they had to clean out the work trailer after heavy rains soaked their gear. When the workers arrived they made sure to place floor coverings and plastic in areas to prevent dust intrusion into the rest of the house. They then jackhammered, excavated, and installed the system. It took about 7 hrs. The workers were polite, efficient, and very hard working. I was impressed. They poured the concrete and afterwards they invited me to inspect their work. They did a very good job leveling the concrete. Last they asked me where I wanted the outside sump pump drain hose placed. I wanted it to go towards the back of the house. They placed it in an area where it would be completely hidden from view (along the house behind plants and into shrubs along the fence).
After a few days of heavy rain the system was collecting water and pumping it out. I was surprised because I didn't expect to see the system at work until spring. The pump is VERY quiet, basically undetectable. I'm very satisfied with All Star Basements.

"We now walk out of our basement french doors onto a beautiful bricked patio. Tom and his worker did a phenomenal job! They were very hard-working, professional, efficient and definitely very detail oriented and work was completed timely. They also kept us updated on the installation. They are very knowledgeable and pointed out pros and cons which other contractors did not do. At the same time they were respectful and pleasant, letting us make up our own minds. Because of experience in related fields, they were able to share knowledge we probably would not have otherwise received.
First they completed measurements to ensure the grading was correct so everything in the end would be level. Yes, the bricks are extremely level and graded so the water runs away from the house. This involved laying down the foundation. Attention to detail was displayed when Tom and his worker arranged the different colored pavers into an attractive pattern and laid the pavers for a tight fit. They also took the extra time to ensure the pavers were cut in such a way there was both a tight fit and attractive look when installing around the piers. Not only does Tom do phenomenal work but his worker does too! They went above and beyond when Tom rerouted our existing irrigation for the sprinkler system to accommodate the pavers. Excellent job on clean-up too.
They are definitely concerned about and use quality material and used superior weed cloth barrier, extra long spikes, edging and such materials. Their bid was competitive and we felt fortunate to have had such a qualified company do our job. They also guarantee their work for 5 years and only one other contractor we found had this same guarantee. Most do 1 year based on companies we researched.
They go above and beyond what is required. I forgot to move some hosta plants and when I came home I received a pleasant surprise in that the plants were dug out for me and put aside by his worker.
We definitely plan to use this company again and highly recommend their work."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can finish a basement that leaks, as long as you address the leak first. Before finishing a basement, you’ll need to repair any cracks in the walls and waterproof the basement to prevent future leaks. It’s much harder to clean up a water leak from a finished basement than an unfinished one, so preemptively addressing any leaking areas prevents expensive repairs in the future.

Your sump pump will discharge water through a discharge line or pipe. The discharge line should be placed at least 10–20 feet from the foundation to avoid any issues.

Ideally, your sump pump discharge should run down a natural downhill slope 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. However, if your property is naturally flat, that might not be an option. Instead, you may be able to discharge it into a neighborhood storm drain or a nearby creek or pond. If that’s not possible, consider burying it underground.

It depends on what caused your basement flooding, the extent of the problem, and the risk of the flood continuing. If your flood is coming from a septic system or sewer line, breathing in the sewer gasses can be dangerous, so you should vacate. If the flood occurs from an ongoing natural disaster, relocating to a safe area might be wise. If you just have a plumbing leak or rainwater coming in, you can likely stay in the house if you don’t have electrical lines down there, but make sure you call in professionals to fix the issue immediately.

Yes, many contractors offer warranties for their work. Confirm terms before starting the project.
