I wanted coverage for my lawn and my plantings. Especially with the dry we have had the last few years. I struggle just to keep my plants looking great. Much of the time I will let my grass go dormant. John said after the installation of the system you will have great looking lawn in about a months time. Probably have to mow it too often. I did not think that would be possible. I would be happy to get the lawn root system going again and my plants on a watering schedule. I waited a month due to a surgery but we decided we wanted to schedule it for sometime in July. I called John after July 4 and asked if I could get in the schedule for July sometime. He said that with all the rain in June, he would try to get us in late July, but we may get pushed out if we get rain. His crew had been working 7 days a week just to catch up. Just like he thought we did get pushed but one of the weeks I could not do it, but he and his crew does his best to work their best to work with your schedule. So, just remember if you want an irrigation system get your quotes and plan to schedule out several weeks, if it's in the heart of summer to be on the safe side. I understood and my wife and I had help watering our plants when I wasn't doing well, so I was prepared. We had Innovative scheduled on August 12 at 7 am. They are prompt. I forgot to say that John has a plumber to install a valve which is included in the quote, some of the other companies have you do that yourself. And calls gopher one to mark your yard where all your utility lines are buried. So, they have several trucks and crew members, which do an excellent job of communication. Very careful of your plants. Yes they do dig up your yard and bring a small yard ditch digger to trench in the irrigation, but it gets filled in nicely. My tip is to buy a big bag of grass seed for your bare spots and if your garden is mulched, buy several extra bags of mulch on standby if you have drip line put into your garden. They installed : Controller: Hunter Pro C Valves: Hunter PGVs (2) Spray Heads: Hunter MP Rotors (6) Gear Driven Heads: Hunter PGP Ultras (18) Hunter Drip Irrigation Price Includes: Wilkens Back Flow Preventer installed by licensed plumber, automatic rain gauge. We also bought extra the Hunter Roam Remote. Lawn Irrigation Zones: 5 Drip Irrigation Zones: 3 Joe was in charge of the crew and is great at explaining the operation of the PRO C. Joe and his crew also adjusted all sprinkler heads and when I was not happy about coverage of one area, they came back and adjusted the one area later that week. Excellent customer service. What sold me is the price, warranty( fall shut down and spring start up). As long as you stay with Innovative for fall shut down and spring start up ($75 each), they warranty the Hunter product. She was here from 11 to 3, and worked like a little beaver. The front was almost completed being weeded, then she started accepting other jobs and putting my jobs on the back burner. Something that I thought would be completed in two weeks from July 21 is still not done. When she was here, she spent hours "transplanting" individual Columbine plants around the edge of a flower bed. In full afternoon sun, I say individual, because the clumps were broken up, and the individual stems were planted. I questioned her, and she said they would be fine. I have been told that the individual Columbine stems are biannual plants, meaning they grow one season. come back she second, said, and die. the self seeding nature of the columbine makes them appear perennial. But they are not sun lovers, and they are all dead!. She moved several peony plants, broke up a few, and moved them to the front of the house. The holes she dug were barely able to contain the roots. Peonies need to have a hole dug larger than the root ball bt two times, need the bottom of the hole half filled with compost, then the roots need to be spread over the compost mound, and the hole filled with a half/half mixture of soil/compost, and be watered in to fill air hole, not stomped in with boots. Guess what? All dead. She transplanted a Clematis that had been growing for 20 years, after severely , (I was going to say trimming, but really not descriptive enough) Butcher all the growing canes to a height of less than 12 inches, then moving it to a spot with no root protection, Guess what? Dead. She "trimmed" the remaining two Clematis to a height of 12 inches. A true "gardener" knows that you cannot trim a growing Clematis that severely and expect it to survive. The books all say not to trim by more than one third during the growing season, and only to remove the dead canes, depending on the type of Clematis is the spring after it is determined which canes are truly dead. One has a few new sprouts, one is completely brown. Are they going to survive???? Without dividing my existing, and unfortunately overgrown hostas, she brought anemic looking "purchased?" Hostas and planted them around the edge of a pine tree, on the 95 degree day. Same planting procedure, Shovel a small hole, stick bare roots in uncultivated, un-amended soil, kick dirt over roots, and stomp in with boots. Her "Friend" who was on my property without prior knowledge, watered them once. I should mention that then left the hose (all 200 feet of it) laying all over the yard. My mowers will not mow with stuff left all over the yard. Did I mention that I have severe health issues, cannot be outside for any length of time, and exertion, even mild, causes shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and pain. Karen Knows this. So, as I stated, with no mulch, and taking 6 weeks to not finish, the front beds were all full of weeds again. But after receiving the $2000 payment in full, she has disappeared. I have sent several e-mails to her, as have wanted a record of what is discussed, and have received no response. For the money it looked like a very nice basket. All the plants are very common and easily found in Minnesota at anytime of the year. I called to place my order and the call taker was pleasant. When I arrived at the funeral I looked for the basket and couldn't believe what I was looking at.. The basket and plants were supposed to be 18 in tall. This total height was about 8 in tall and contained 2 plants, that didn't look very healthy. There were no flowers and no bow. I couldn't believe that this is what they sent. To sum it up I was very embarassed by what I had sent to honor a friend. I called the flowere shop that night and was told that they would give me store credit. NOT!. The owner called me the following Monday and admitted to forgetting to put the flowers in. She told me that they have the discretion to substitute plants. I told her I understand that but the substitutions should at least be a similar substitute so as not to change the whole look of the basket. In the end she credited my card $20. It still doesn't make up for the embarrassment I feel. I will NEVER order from this shop again and have told everyone I know to stay away. I called John last week in May and responded quickly and came out May 31 to give us not only a quote but assessed our watering needs. Asked about how much I knew about lawn and drip irrigation and explained the benefits of drip for the garden and for conservation of water. He tested the...

"I can’t say enough about the level of professionalism, communication and quality of the work done by Debbie and her teams. We had at any point between one or two teams led by Alex working on our corner property project. They replaced a failing railroad tie retaining wall that covered three sides of our property, which reached 5’ in height in some areas. This required architectural considerations which Debbie handled perfectly. We looked at retaining wall bricks in person at a few different places, and also looked at stair replacements. We communicated with Debbie we wanted the wall even (so it doesn’t look wavy), as we’ve seen some uneven retaining walls walking around. They were paid a lot of attention to detail, and avoided it looking wavy, and made sure we had input all the way through the build. Additionally, they expanded our driveway to allow another car to park, fixed water creeping into my neighbors garage by fixing the grade and redirecting water away from property lines, and replaced our pitted stamped concrete path going up to our house with beautiful herringbone patterned bricks. Debbie also coordinated multiple contractors to manage in ground sprinkler modifications, ULV lighting additions, and replacing my old fence. They were very respectful of our property, and all the plants/gardens they worked around. Their work is top notch, and I would change nothing about my experience, it was exactly what we wanted. I’d use their services again without a doubt!"

FAQs for plant watering projects in New Hope, MN
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
