"Klint and crew did an excellent job!! I had major drainage issues around my detached garage. The area wasn't prepared correctlly when the garage was built 10+ years ago.. Klint knew exactly how to fix the problem. It looks great and will be much better now. Also, the bid/estimate was very reasonable. I would hire Wolf Creek Dirt 'Works again if/when I need any land prep work. Thanks Klint!"

"Mr. Hal Morris was responsive, detailed and kept us informed of the project. He provided us with a plan, followed through and answered our questions. He was also open to trying new material, copper, to the lattice panels. He also was so kind and installed four steel hooks so we could hang additional plants."

"Clint Hansen, the president, worked thru the quote and proposal with us, then communicated regularly with us on progress, etc. The building crews worked efficiently thru fall and winter. Made great progress against the quoted schedule. Work changes were executed well with the foreman and Clint, some smaller ones on the fly. Responsive to come back and adjust things where needed. Cleared up work area daily. Installed new sod where work vehicles had damaged the lawn. Subcontractors (electrical, HVAC) did good work as well. Payment plan in 3 phases. Took care of city permits and inspections. We installed carpeting ourselves but they came back to install baseboards afterwards.
Good company to work with, great value for the cost.

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

If your basement often leaks after heavy rain, it’s probably caused by hydrostatic pressure. When the ground is saturated with water, it can put pressure on the exterior of your home’s foundation, causing cracks in the basement wall and pushing water through any existing weak spots. Over time, hydrostatic pressure can cause structural damage to your home.

You can DIY basement waterproofing in some ways to help save on the overall costs. If your basement isn’t experiencing a lot of water but is noticeably humid, you can try running a dehumidifier that will pull the excess water out of the air. If you notice water leaking due to outdoor drainage issues, you can add downspout extensions to keep rainwater away from your home.

However, if the problem is more severe and requires a more extensive solution, it’s best to call a basement waterproofing professional to assess the treatment you need and install waterproofing safeguards properly. Since keeping water out of your basement is important, ensuring this job is done correctly the first time is best.

Submersible and pedestal sump pumps are two popular types of sump pumps. Submersible models are covered by water in a sump pit, which helps keep the motor cooler and quieter. Pedestal sump pumps stick out of the sump pit, so the motor stays dry and is easier to access. Submersible sump pumps are the pricier option, but they also have longer life spans.

If you hire a professional, installing a new sewage ejector pump costs $850 to $3,500, or an average of $2,300. Otherwise, if you handle the installation yourself, you can expect to pay $500 to $1,000 for the sewage ejector pump, permits, and other supplies required for this DIY project.

Yes, a well-maintained sump pump can increase a home's value and make it more desirable to potential buyers; it does not lower property value. By protecting the basement from flooding and water damage, a sump pump provides peace of mind and can make the space usable for storage or as an extra room. For buyers interested in homes with basements, a working sump pump is a significant feature that adds value by ensuring the space is secure and less likely to flood.
