"I recommend Mark with no reservations - something that is rare for contractors. Mark handles everything, is very expert on options, and his bid was roughly 1/2 of a larger HVAC company (who sent a salesperson to bid & who knows who would get to do the actual work). Mark took several heating ducts and re-routed them to be within the joists to prep for a remodel. Job was complicated and dirty and he and his son knocked it out in a couple days. He also fixed another contractor's mistake with our bathroom vent and brought it up code.(now I can finally close out that permit). Highly recommend!"

Metal Fabrication and Restoration questions, answered by experts

If you're choosing sheet metal for a home exterior or outdoor enclosure, stainless steel is the most popular option because of its durability, weather resistance, and affordability. At $8 to $19 per square foot, stainless steel falls in the middle of the range for sheet metal fabrication cost while offering some of the best performance.

If you don’t want to rely on paint to change the color of your stainless steel surface, there are a few other methods, but they require specialized equipment and skills. Some examples include powder coating, applying pigmented powder via an electrostatic gun, and electrostatic painting, which uses wet paints and has a less durable finish. The cost of powder coating is $40 to $600 per part, and electrostatic painting averages $60 per hour.

DIY is possible with prefabricated kits. Professional services ensure proper anchoring and durability.

Custom metalwork offers durability, design flexibility, and unique aesthetics tailored to specific needs.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.
