Jay maines was on the ball , when we met I had explained what I was looking for in a sheath . I told him I cannot buy a sheath to my liking any longer that was made with sewn leather . He populated several examples as to how his sheaths are made . He thoroughly explained the pros and cons . I told home my exact specs what I was looking for in a sheath with sewn seams and riveted corners and very tight fitting with dual snaps . I tell you what the cost of American labor is what it is , it cost more to have it made here it Just does ! So after going through the design as to what I wanted I gave him tool to build it around with belt specifications . I'll tell you what i could not be happier with what he had done for me . I will be using him for another couple projects in the near future here . He gave me a quote as to what it works cost . I had went to many of a leather shops only to be told we don't do that stuff and jay had not yet made one for this type of tool yet and he said we will conquer it it will take a couple weeks to get done . It was spot on tight fitting as I asked had a double snap to prevent accidental loss due to it slipping out . This was made with tough water buffalo hide and sealed . The price was 105 bucks for all the custom work I had done to it
