I recommend Mark with no reservations - something that is rare for contractors. Mark handles everything, is very expert on options, and his bid was roughly 1/2 of a larger HVAC company (who sent a salesperson to bid & who knows who would get to do the actual work). Mark took several heating ducts and re-routed them to be within the joists to prep for a remodel. Job was complicated and dirty and he and his son knocked it out in a couple days. He also fixed another contractor's mistake with our bathroom vent and brought it up code.(now I can finally close out that permit). Highly recommend!

Mark was fantastic. When he gave his estimate, he came up with a detailed plan which was mindful of not only my current heating/cooling needs, but allowed for expansion when the basement was refinished. His solution removed head clearance issues in the main living space and now allow for a spacious bathroom remodel. Between the estimate and getting the work done, I realized some of my measurements were off, and he was prompt in responding to making modifications. He also promptly answered questions and concerns that arose from a competing bid. While doing the work, he took the time to clean up a few other rough spots in other ducts and re-secured parts of the trunk just above my furnace. Both these minor repairs and the additional material needed for the new measurements were completed without any increase in the cost. Mark was my first contractor hired via Angie's list. He was knowledgeable, honest, and a pleasure to work with.

Very pleased with Mark's service and professionalism!  He responded to my phone calls/texts promptly and arrived on time both for the estimate and for the job.  He helped me to come up with a solution to my problem of moving some of my supply ducts to make head room for a new basement bathroom remodel that was better than anything I could have figured out or done on my own.  His work was clean and neat and looks great.  Really great guy to work with.  I would definitely recommend him.

I have been looking for a furnace expert like Mark for a long time!
He does everything.  I rehab houses and rent them, so I cant spend a fortune on each one.  Mark takes on the job from day one and makes it all happen, and introduces his own ideas which are always appreciated.  And at a great price.
Many HVAC companies send out a great salesperson, but then some newbies show up to do the actual work.  Not with Mark - I really like the one-man outfits so only one person has the entire responsibility from initial plans to final inspection.  And no mis-communication between the office clerk and the salesman and the estimator and the installer - there is only one guy which is GREAT!
Whereas many HVAC service providers would come out on a cold day and red-tag a furnace and leave me in the cold. Mark repaired the old furnace so it worked for a while until I could get the rehab completed and the dust settled - then he installed a new furnace and A/C when the paint was all dry in the house.
And he is an old-world craftsman with sheet metal.  Many HVAC companies will use the old junk ductwork and connections from  the 1950's.  If Mark sees a piece of ductwork that needs to go, he crafts a newer and better replacement in his own sheet-metal shop.  No need to contract another party and coordinate efforts to get that work done.
Another example: I was going to take up hallway space with the old return ductwork from the old furnace.  Mark figured out a way to go up and over the hallway so all the ductwork was hidden, and the hallway could be MUCH wider and more attractive in the basement.
Need some metal flashing custom bent for window cladding?  Forget about renting a metal brake and doing a half-baked job.  Mark will bend any contortion of aluminum flashing in any shape that your windows need!
