"Worst security company in the Midwest. After being awaken by the police at 1:30 am, no alarm going off in tje house I spoke with the President of the firm Jerry Becher to explain there was an issue with our alarm system. I was basically told there was nothing wrong, could have been a lightning strike and they refused to service their equipment without charging me a service fee and an hourly rate. We have been clients for less than a year. Here was the email I received today. Folks if you value the safety of your family do not use this firm. Did you have a specific date you wanted to cancel service? If not please accept this as 30 days notice that I will be terminating your service per the requirements of our monitoring agreement. Your equipment will be set to the default settings for any new vendors to use. Your account balances will either be pro-rated or refunded depending on where you are in your billing cycle."

"Tim has always answered my calls right away and been able to get in super quickly. He replaced the 60 amp breaker in our early 1900s house with a 200 amp breaker and addressed a lot of code and safety issues. He did everything in one day and cleaned up after himself. He's been quick to respond on subsequent jobs and has even helped me over the phone when I've done things myself. Highly recommend!"

"As everyone knows, it is awfully difficult to identify the cause of an intermittent failure. Usually, by the time the service tech arrives, the unit is working again. That said, living as we do in Minnesota, one canny abide an unreliable furnace in the dead of winter. So, I was extremely happy with the effort put forth by "Jim" of Owens to track down what was in need of repair. He was dogged in his pursuit of the solution, and I am confident once again in the operation of my boiler. Although Jim is our favorite, our family has had outstanding service from a number of Owens technicians, and I think that that says good things about the culture, training and overall quality of personnel at that company. None better in the Twin Cities."

"Beware. They charged me double shipping even after I told them I would wait so I wouldn’t have to pay two shipping fees. The last item was a fuel pump that I had a problem with. I have made 4 calls to ask for help with no return call. Poor"

"There were some errors made with code compliance areas. Others were with communication. Most of the work was likely done by the journeyman who may not have been getting all the info on the agreement made between Lawinger and myself. After returning to fix the problems with the install, I was billed for parts and supplies (and possibly labor, as invoicing was sloppy - two jobs done on same invoice). I emailed to ask about this and have billing the repairs for mistakes waived. I received no response as of about three weeks. I also had some quality problems with the main contractor that hired Lawinger as a sub. There was not on this job, the attention to detail that I expect from highly paid and highly skilled electricians."
