"I found him hard to work with (e.g. doesn't listen, pushy about doing it his way.) I was really hesitant after the estimate but he just kept pushing about it and I didn't have any other options - but I was sorry afterwards. I don't really like it, the quality doesn't seem great - but most important, it's not level. Drives me crazy and looks bad - just three panels and it's not level! Makes me nuts looking at it - feels like I threw my money away."

"Everything went very well! They were able to get the new gutters installed less that a week after I initially called with my inquiry. The employees were very professional and respectful. Everything was cleaned up promptly. I would recommend this company to anyone who was in need of new gutters."

Repair Carport questions, answered by experts

A carport's effect on property value can be positive or negative, depending on its condition and design. A high-quality, well-maintained carport can improve a home's selling appeal and may increase its value by a few percent, especially if it is thoughtfully designed with added utility like storage space or a workshop. However, a poorly-maintained carport in disrepair can have the opposite effect and detract from the home's sales appeal and value.

Poured concrete is one of the best bases for a carport. You'll get one of the biggest bangs for your buck with concrete, thanks to its durability. At the same time, if concrete isn't in your budget, it might not be the best base for your installation. Dirt foundations, gravel foundations, and permeable pavers work in a crunch and can be long-lasting without the higher price tag of poured concrete.

Pole barns and carports are similar in that they rely on posts for support and are often not connected to a primary structure. The main difference between the two is that pole barns usually include walls that surround the entire perimeter of the structure, while carports generally remain open on three or four sides. It’s possible to insulate garage doors and even exterior walls on pole barns to create a comfortable workspace, and it’s a bit more secure for storage purposes. However, carports are more affordable.

Building a wooden carport typically costs between $3,000 and $12,000. The final price depends on factors such as the carport's size, the type of wood used, the complexity of the design, and labor costs for any custom features.

Permits are necessary to comply with local building codes, ensuring safety and adherence to zoning regulations, and are vital for successful construction.
