Horrible! Communication was lackluster...Wife couldn't return calls, texts or VM's on status updates. Over a month went by and barely any communication. Tech who is the owner broke the clothes washer more by installing wrong parts. Now I am stuck with a broken washer and the wife decided because I was complaining about the lack of communication by her she would not fix my washer anymore. The new company verified that Appliance Works broke it possibly to the point of not being able to repair it anymore.

I am a Rochester resident, and was scheduled by my home repair warranty company (American Home Shield) to have my oven repaired by Appliance Works. On March 23, a technician (actually the owner Mike Brudelie) attempted a repair but failed as it required a replacement control panel. On April 7, he again attempted a repair, but failed a second time and had to order a replacement ignition board. After several weeks with no contact regarding the status of this second component, I reached out on April 27 to Appliance Works. I received confirmation from the receptionist that the part was in hand and that "I was next on their call list". I was scheduled for an appointment 8-12 the following tuesday (April 28). After no one showed to make the repair, I followed-up and rescheduled for the following tuesday (May 4). Again, the entire business day passed (9-5) with no show, no contact. Finally, I emailed the owner (Mike Brudelie) and was advised that "he had literally checked the part in 5 minutes before" receiving my email, and that it was impossible that I could have had my oven serviced as his technician did not have the part. Further adding to this bizarre interaction is the fact that there is no technician. Appliance Works is a one-man shop, as confirmed by the receptionist, previous poor reviews, and the fact that the owner himself has shown up twice to my home to attempt repairs. At this point, I have cancelled the service request, as it has been 47 days since contracting them for this job. I am seeking a refund of the service fee paid out to Appliance Works as well as compensation for the 2 solid work days lost in these uncertain times. If you look through online reviews of Appliance Works, you can find numerous examples of the same instances of multiple weeks of no communication; massive delays in ordering necessary components; and failure to effect correct repairs.
