"Ryan, Miguel, Luis and staff did a great job removing old insulation, inspect, clean & disinfect, spray foam, and blow in new insulation. They were efficient, kept me informed, cleaned up well, and addressed minor issues after the completion was complete. I had planned to also spray foam the basement, but we could not vacate the house (fumes) with a member in hospice. This will be done as soon as we are able. Highly recommended!"

"Carl was very prompt with calling me back and actually arranged to fit me in a day earlier than planned. The work was all completed within a couple hours. I guess I expected the spackling to be all set to repaint over, but that will require some touch-ups before painting. Overall, great experience and we will use Specialty Insulators again when we require this type of project."

However, removal is recommended if the old insulation is compromised by water damage or pests. You should also remove it if you plan to install a different type of insulation, like switching from roll or batt insulation to spray foam. These two types of foams are similar chemically, but they are applied in a much different way and each has its own pros and cons.
