"I was really happy with Justin and his team. For me this was a big job and involved a lot of money and a lot of moving parts. The ceiling texturing had been poorly done so removal was not as simple as scraping popcorn ceilings. The house had many different dark colored walls so the painting over them was not a simple task either. Justin is very meticulous and thorough and his crew is polite and determined to get everything just right. I can recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever."

"It went well and it looks nice and neat at first sight . I did not notice all the cords bunched up next to the mantle until after the technician left. That does not look so nice. It is on the far corner and is not noticeable when walking into the room, but is very noticeable when on that side. It is something I will have to deal with ."

"Good&Bad. They delivered conduit to go under our new sidewalk to run their pipes (and my outdoor lighting) through. This was great. Chris came with the crew (am) and went over things with them. The bad part is that my yard was really demolished by the installation and unfortunately, when they were done at the end of the day, they were too tired and hot, to do ANY clean up. I left a message for Chris that evening, and he called early, the next day. I think he thought, I was over reacting, but he did come out & look at the yard. He apologized & since then, has been trying to resurrect the yard. He has seeded twice, repaired a cracked joint which, left a boggy area and made sure the RPZ valve was tested (not initially performed). I had so many issues with this job, that I waited until now to give him a fair chance to repair the damage. He has done a good job of correcting what he could. Now time, will hopefully take care of the rest. His foreman, failed him on this job."

"I highly recommend contacting Joe W for any home improvement needs. Our roof installation was a smooth process from start to finish! Our previous shingles ended being discontinued & Joe did a great job explaining the process and working with our insurance to ensure that we got the best possible replacement shingle. I love the color! What a huge improvement on our home!"

"It went great! My wife and I have lived in our house since 1995 and did nothing as far as landscaping goes. I had no idea on what to do except to mow the grass.
Tom showed up on time and went strait to work. We discussed several ideas and later that day he emailed me a perfect starting plan. I told him that I was planing on doing the work myself but may hire out the bigger part of the project. Tom was very helpful and supportive."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Outdoor lighting enhances security, improves curb appeal, and extends the usability of outdoor spaces.

No, you should not leave LED Christmas lights up all year. While the LED lights themselves are very durable, their wiring and casings can be as vulnerable as any Christmas lights. They’re subject to drying out, experiencing cold or sun damage that causes them to crack, and even damage caused by gnawing pests. (The same is true of incandescents.) If you want your lights to last the years that they’re rated for, bring them inside after Christmas is over.

Table lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers, desk lamps, and antique or decorative light fixtures that hold sentimental or aesthetic value are commonly repaired.

The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.
