"Tom and Superior Carpet Cleaning did a great job with our basement and stairs. Communication was timely, expectations clear and pricing was reasonable. The space hadn't been cleaned for a number of years and he was able to remove the grime and moved furniture as needed. I've seen the comments on not using steam...but we didn't have any issues and there's a plus in not having hoses run through an open door for hours."

"RJ with Clean Air Restoration came over and started clean up the same day after my basement was flooded because of a sewer back up. The crew came out and cleaned up everything, sanitized it and made it safe for us to be down there."

"They did a great job and were very professional. Our 27 year old floors look brand new again! I am a skeptic these days regarding the accuracy of reviews as we have been burned before. Rest assured this will not be the case here. Grain will do a wonderful job on your hardwood floors."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It usually takes around one hour for one person to deep clean a 100 to 200 square foot space, or between eight and 12 hours for a full home. Large construction projects may take longer, especially if your contractor didn’t do routine cleanups throughout the construction process. Your cleaning professional should be able to give you an estimate on how long they believe the job will take.

No, soap scum doesn’t cause mildew, but the two substances often appear in the same spots. If soap scum is left to sit long enough and if the area stays damp, mildew and mold can grow on top of it. When these fungi combine with soap scum, your surface can become discolored, grimier, smelly, and more difficult to clean.

The best thing to clean bathrooms with is an all-purpose cleaner, a mixture of white vinegar and water (50:50 ratio), and a glass cleaner for mirrors and glass surfaces. You can also use baking soda on areas with soap residue or mildew. The best tool to clean a bathroom depends on the specific task, but a sponge and a fresh towel are versatile options.

Onions, peppers, fish, broccoli, and fried chicken taste great—but the leftover smells can be less than appetizing. Even if these foods are cooked perfectly, the odors they leave behind can linger well beyond the dishes being cleared and washed. Fortunately, you can use the same tips to get a burnt smell out of the house and remove stubborn food odors. In addition, make sure you’re keeping your fridge clear of odor-smelling foods for too long to keep the stench from invading other foods.

Clean your stainless steel sink at least once a week or after a particularly messy meal prep. Additionally, deep clean your sink twice a month to catch built-up grime, food stains, or hints of rust. Add both basic and deep cleans to your weekly kitchen cleaning checklist to stay on top of any odors, drain issues, or bacteria.
