"These guys have really done a nice job for us both on our driveway, our garage concrete floor, our sidewalk, the patio wall and our leaning outside fireplace. They seem cheaper than big concrete injection companies and take pride in their work. They even show up exactly on time... wow! We don't get anything at all if you use them, but we are sure you will be happy with their services."

"I can’t say enough about Anderson Concrete Lifting. Joe responded to my phone call immediately and was on his way. We all thought our major construction project would have to come to a halt when we realized that our Garage foundation would need immediate mudjacking. Calling Joe Anderson and his crew was the right move and within 24 hours the job was done…. and done exceptionally well. Not only was our construction project able to move forward without setback, we are now confident that our garage foundation Is trustworthy. These intentional and hard working men are the right phone call when you aren’t sure what company will handle the job well and won’t over charge you. We are so thankful for them!"

"On July 1st (2021), Mel and Stephan from Innovative Basement Authority dug a 30'x18" trench by hand to bury our sump pump discharge pipe. They installed a freeze valve, 30' of 5" PVC, and a discharge grate, exactly where we asked to place it. They had to dig right next to the garage foundation, so this was no easy feat. They also made short work of removing a 4'x4' concrete pad for us. The guys were very courteous, punctual, and seriously hard-working. They did an exceptional job, and in just half a day, I was able to check 1 more item off my honey-do list! We are hoping to hire Innovative Basement Authority for some garage floor concrete work in the near future. Thanks IBA! Brian & Terri MacDonald"

"We started in the spring. Greg came out to assess my falling apart garage. He tore down the old garage and replaced it. As it is an attached garage, it was quite a process. Everything went very well. There were some delays due to weather, but that is understandable. Overall, I am thrilled with my new garage and so happy that Greg was also able to redo the sidewalk and steps to my front door. The work is holding up beautifully and Greg and his crews were great to work with."

"We originally had laminate flooring on most of the main floor (about 575 s.f.) in our 4 year old home. Due to a leaky wash machine, all of the laminate flooring had to be removed. My wife and I had never had tile installed before, but we decided to give Joe at Tabery Design a call. Within a day or two Joe stopped by to give us an estimate for installing tile throughout all the damaged rooms (kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, dinette and foyer). In addition to the estimate, Joe gave us tips on what to look for when selecting floor tile and gave us ideas on various tile installation patterns. He also recommended quality tile distributors in our area where we could shop. To eliminate any future problems we may have with a leaky wash machine, Joe had the idea to install a shower drain under the wash machine. What a great idea! When we gave him the go ahead for the installation, Joe immediately ordered the tile and started prepping the floor. Instead of using the traditional cement backer board to lay the tile on, Joe recommended pouring a thin layer or self-leveling concrete on the subfloor which he had covered with a paper. This would greatly reduce the chance of cracking when the house settles. A nice touch in my opinion. After the floor had cured, Joe was right back to install the tile. It took about 2-3 days to completely install the tile. The grout took an additional day. From the beginning of the floor prep to the end of the grout work, the job took about 5 work days. Very quick for 575 s.f. in my opinion. Throughout the job Joe was extremely professional. He always picked up before he left for the day and he was extremely meticulous about how the tile was installed. My wife and I are so happy with the way the floor turned out. Thanks to Joe, everything was done efficiently and painlessly. As a result, we have a master bathroom and a kitchen backsplash we'd like to have tiled and Tabery Design will be at the top of our list when we decide to move forward with them. I would recommend Joe to anyone interested in having a high-quality tile floor installed. Thanks again Joe!"

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.
