Don't walk away from this company, RUN! In August 2023, Frank came along on the heels of a project by our city where they installed curbs and poured an asphalt apron at the end of our rock driveway. He lead me to believe that he was the contractor the city had hired to do the work and never corrected my belief in this falsehood, even though he had many opportunities to do so. He made it sound like he was pouring driveways for several neighbors and I should act if I wanted to get in on it before his company left the area. When his crew came to do the work, they significantly damaged the apron poured by the city. It finally took a complaint with the BBB to get him back here to do shoddy repair work. Fast forward to this Spring... a portion the driveway was caved in and vegetation was growing through the asphalt. I have been trying to get them here since May to repair and now are forced to file a complaint with the AG because Frank now refuses to honor the warranty.

I thought Frank & his crew did a great job. Very professional, friendly all the crew members were very nice & polite. Got the job done in one day and any mess was cleaned up. Needed the old gravel moved to a different spot on the driveway and they put it where we wanted and leveled it out. Very nice. Thank you.

FAST: They did the tear out the same day I called them, and they dug out a tree stump for just an extra $100. That night it rained, and in the morning, they came out to check the moisture level. It was too damp. They came back in the afternoon and were able to begin laying the asphalt. They did find a soft, bouncy spot so they dug down about 4 feet and repacked it before finishing laying the rest

In the past 14 years at this location these guy's did a home run, knocking it out of the ball park. Professional, competent and very knowledgeable. Thank you, I'll call these guys again. T. B. PRASKA Maple Lake MN

Comment on value for the money; with the inflation rate the way it is, I feel the price was high, but I am told that I have unrealistic expectations, not only on this but other things as well. So thatâ s just me. Other than that, Good job!

Do not get fooled by the 5-star reviews on. If you have a large more complex job and Anji suggests Midwest Construction, based on my experience, I would move on. You get what you pay for! Cheaper does not mean better or even the same as other competitors. Do not get fooled by the fact Midwest Construction can deliver the same day. If everyone else is out two weeks and he can deliver the same day or the next day there is a reason. He is not doing you a favor. Do not get swept up in his ?we are only going to be in your town a short time.? If you choose to work with this company get a VERY detailed quote in WRITING from Frank the owner that includes the following: 1) the actual number of square feet of asphalt that will be laid and how the area that will be prepped - and graded 2) the actual depth in inches of base that will be laid, 4-6 is industry standard, not ?as needed? 3) a diagram showing what his team will be doing. 4) important details - such as how far from edges asphalt will be laid. If you want to hire this company do your self a favor and wait 24 hrs. I would also recommend documenting the process with photos. Frank is charismatic and does a great job explaining what he will do, unfortunately, non of the details end up in the contract. Instead, comments such as ?as agreed? or ? as needed? are used to replace the actual numbers based on his measurements. In the contract ?as agreed? refers to verbal agreements and if you ask him questions after the work has been completed he will inform you that there are no values in the contract. He will instruct you to look at what you agreed to and that his contract has no value. So you will end up with very little to lean on if he fails to deliver what you thought was agreed. I ended up signing a contract while his guys were actually leveling out the pad of the driveway. They started the work before I had actually signed. I was caught up in the moment and Frank quickly explained a very vague ?fix rate? contract. I felt compelled to sign it because his guys were already working. The fix rate does not protect you as an owner. It gives a lot of leeway to the contractor. Again, get a detailed quote and contract before you proceed. Unless you really need something done same day and are in a bind I would move on. I really wish had not recommended this company. The devil is in the details folks.

Had a great experience working with Frank and Midwest Construction. He was very easy to work with. The contract was done on his word and a hand shake. Which was exactly what was delivered. It was very nice to work with someone that was there for the whole process.

Frank Snider & his son Buddy provided great customer service and answered - in detail - -any questions I had. They said the tear-up of the old asphalt, spreading a new undersurface, and installing the new asphalt would all be done in a day. It all took from 8:45 AM until 3 PM.

I hired Frank from Angies list based on reviews and they have a veterans discount. I cut the check for Frank before the job was completed. Buddy shook my hand and said thanks for your service when I handed him the check. I came home later that day to a job that was uneven in spots and even had trip hazards. I called Frank right away with pictures and he assured me within a week it would be fixed. 5300 dollars for a bad job and 3 weeks after a promise with no fix. Frank has called me rude on the phone which all I did was ask for a set time and date to get my driveway fixed. I will not recommend them based on customer service and quality of work. Maybe focus on your current customer problems before you take on the next job. Please note: I had a complete tear-out and new pavement put in.

Called on the same day I requested a quote, came to estimate on the same day and the project was done on the same week! I love it! Very friendly, easy to work with, professional. Would hire again.

I was looking to replace my what I call a construction asphalt driveway. I looked up local asphalt companies in my area and 4 companies popped up in the search. I called Midwest construction first and talked to a guy named Frank. I told him what I was looking to have done and he said give me your address and Iâ ll come measure it up and give you a quote this was on a Wednesday. He gave me a fair price and said that he could have it done before the weekend I was impressed by that especially since he said they were slammed with work but he could fit me in. ( I also called 2 other companies and had them give me quotes both of those companies came in $200 dollars cheaper but they couldnâ t get to it for a couple of weeks and I needed it done faster then that. ) I called Frank back the next day it was later then I told him I would call but he didnâ t mind at all I told him driveway is yours and he said Iâ ll be there tomorrow ( Friday). I received a couple pictures of work progress and came home to a beautiful new driveway. All the crew members deserve huge props from me it was in the 90â s and they did a great job. So thank you Midwest construction especially Frank and his crew ( sorry it was so hot out lol!!!!! No Iâ m not cause I got the driveway I have been talking about getting for years ).
