"Everything went extremely well! We simultaneously had our house trim painted, so Mike (Grand Gutters employee) was able to remove the old gutters before the painters got to work. This was much more difficult than anticipated, but they did the job without complaint or extra charge (which was much appreciated). Once the house was painted, John (the owner) came back to install the new gutters. He also painted and installed downspout leader boxes and decorative brackets. Overall, he was very professional and kept me up to date during the installation. We highly recommend Grand Gutter and would work with them again!

"They did a great job and have a great product. The true test for me was when I have two trees with helicopters. So the true test was to make sure that both helicopters would not get stock between the gutter. Their covers to the gutter are great. Both helicopters did not get stuck to the covers. Waited a long time to get someone to do the gutter and fina'ly found this company. It was really worth the wait. i would highly recommend them to everyone to do your gutters."

"Great plumber! If you're looking for an honest, thorough and affordable plumber I wouldn't look any further.
I had problems with low pressure in my hot water. I got three estimates and the other two guys (Southtown and Roark) insisted on replacing all the hot water steel pipes in the basement right to the water main for $3000-$4000.
Chris had a much more reasonable approach. He gave me an estimate with three choices 1)re-piping the first 10 feet or so, 2)re-piping all the hot steel pipes in the basement and 3) re-piping all the hot and cold steel pipes in the basement. He was very flexible and said that he would try the least expensive option first, then if it didn't work, he would try the 2nd and 3rd if necessary. He had two of his employees come out to do the re-piping. It turned out that the least expensive option worked great, so I only had to spend a few hundred bucks. Compared to the other estimates I got Chris saved me $2000-$3000. Also, his estimate for repiping all the steel pipes was still less than half of what the other guys wanted to do the same work. Chris came by after the piping was done and also fixed my problematic kitchen faucet for only an extra 50 bucks while he was here. I'd definitely use them again."

The Founder and owner of National Home Improvement LLC Donald Gaetke has over 25 years of experience in the Roofing industry and is a long time resident of Minnesota. He's a United States Army Infantry veteran and comes from a family with a strong military background. After a quarter century of working for both small and large home improvement companies in the Twin Cities area, and seeing firsthand how things are done right and done wrong, the Founder decided it was time to create a home improvement company that actually valued the home owner more than the dollar. It is with this old fashioned notion that National Home Improvement has distinguished itself from all other contracting companies. His motivation for establishing National Home Improvement was born out of the shockingly low customer satisfaction rates in the industry. The obvious problem was a lack of customer service, and in some cases even disrespect for the homeowners. He felt that this industry wide anti-social trend could be reversed but only if he lead the charge as an owner himself. We look forward to serving and hearing from you soon! Please call about our veteran discount! \n\n\n

The most common problem with gutters is clogs and improper drainage. The most common cause is when surrounding trees drop leaves, blossoms, seeds, and other debris into your gutters. Debris gets wet and soggy in the gutter and blocks the opening of the downspout to prevent water from draining. Even moderate to steady rain can cause water to overflow the gutters. Clean the gutters as safely as possible every spring and fall. You may have to clean them out more than once when lots of leaves are falling over the course of several weeks.
Leaking gutters can cause major problems in your home, which is why cleaning your gutters is important. Water leaking behind the gutters can cause the wood at the edge of your roof and even part of the roof to rot. When gutters and downspouts leak, the ground next to the foundation becomes saturated and can end up causing cracks and water leaks in your basement or crawl space. Overflowing gutters can cause moisture problems with windows and exterior walls.
Gutter installation costs from $4 to $30 per linear foot. Cost factors include linear footage, type of gutter, and material (aluminum, copper, etc.). The number and length of downspouts also impact the cost. Roof repairs are another potential cost. Optional add-ons include gutter guards or gutter screens to keep debris out of the gutters.
Although installing or replacing gutters doesn’t usually add directly to the value of your home, it can help maintain the value of your home by preventing water damage from overflowing or leaking. Aside from the practical preventative maintenance, a neat, clean new gutter system can certainly add to your home’s curb appeal.
Several telltale signs indicate that it’s time to replace your gutters. The most common signs include:
Peeling paint
Standing water in your gutters
Pulling away from the roof line
Leaking behind the gutters
Widening, leaking gaps in the seams of your gutters
Cracking
Sagging gutters
Rusting
Growing mold
Soaking foundation walls
