Here at Chando Construction our #1 goal is customer satisfaction. We achieve our goals by providing quality, integrity and unparalleled craftsmanship.

"We decided to use Chando for repairs on storm damage to our house. After we did the contract we paid the deposit. Months go by with no communication, finally heard from a guy with Chando that says he’s going to take over as the contractor with Chando. For a few weeks I get the runaround from him and now 2+ months later and I can’t get a phone call back from this guy or the owner Christopher Chandonnet. They took our deposit, did no work and now won’t return any phone calls. It’s feels like I was lied to and they stole my money!"

Ridge vents can last as long as your roof does. As long as your ridge vents were installed correctly by a qualified professional, they will need very little upkeep. Inspecting your ridge vents annually to ensure they aren’t cracked, clogged, or leaking will help prolong their lifespan.

The exact weight of a bundle of shingles depends on the shingle type, manufacturer, and other factors. It can weigh anywhere between 45 and 800 pounds.

Technically speaking, yes, verbal agreements and “handshake deals” can be legally binding contracts that will hold up in court, but the suing party will need to be able to prove that the parties entered into the contract. Even though verbal and handshake deals can be binding, it’s risky to rely on these types of agreements for anything, including roofing projects. Always aim to get your contract in writing, and make sure it includes all terms and that you don’t agree to additional terms that don’t appear in the contract.

Sometimes, a local authority won’t approve a request for a roofing permit. This may be because of incomplete documentation, unclear project plans, processing delays, or insufficient communication. There may also be discrepancies with building codes.

A roof can collapse from a leak if the leak is left unattended long enough. A collapse will happen when the structural components of your roof become saturated with water over time. The roof deck or rafters can slowly weaken until they can no longer support the weight of your roof.
