"Kendra came out ASAP to evaluate the job - which was greatly appreciated since tree location & condition made it very dangerous…possible landing on home. David and Adam were awesome! They were professional& concerned about tree removal safely! Removed seven trees in all. Very hard workers. Had to work in tight spots using a lift- trees were 70 ft tall! Absolutely incredible team at very reasonable price."

"Really great service! The removal of my tree was extremely difficult ( several trees were on top of each other due to a tornado) They removed them without a problem! Super wonderful guys! My first estimate was extremely high A-game came in about 1/3 less expensive. I plan on having them do more work this spring!"

"Andy came personally to give us an estimate.  He was on time, personable and professional.  The date was set for the following week.  Crew arrived ON TIME - they worked safely and quickly.  All the work was completed as promised.  The cleanup from taking down the trees was amazing.  I highly recommend their services!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It can be bad to leave a dead stump in the ground. A stump becomes a hefty piece of dead wood in time and eventually (especially with the help of rain) starts to rot. That makes it a locus point for diseases and pesky insects, as well as a bit of an eyesore. It’s best to remove a tree stump completely before it starts to decay, especially before it starts to fall apart. If the tree was removed because of disease, it’s even more important to fully remove the stump if possible.

Talking with a septic pro before planting trees near your tank is best to ensure the roots won’t interfere with your septic system. However, there is an easy way to figure out where to plant a tree—but you’ll need to know how tall it can get when it’s fully grown. For instance, if the tree can reach 50 feet, plant it at least 50 feet from your septic system.

Trees that flower in the spring—like dogwood, cherry, magnolia, and pear—should not be pruned during the winter. These spring-flowering plants grow buds on old growth, so you’ll actually remove what would’ve been gorgeous flowering foliage. Instead, wait to prune until right after they bloom, when the flowers fade.

Yes, carefully prune back dead branches—don’t wait for pruning season. This helps keep your maple tree healthy and also helps prevent large branches from falling unexpectedly. Don’t seal the cut branch—trees can naturally take care of these wounds—but be sure to remove any source of fungus or pest infestation to help save the tree.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.
