"I received new windows in the front of my house as well as vinyl siding all aound. Communication was sketchy at first but Travis Kramer certainly made up for it. I would recommend anyone to work with him as well as the crew, they all did an awesome job. I love my house and so do the neighbors!"

"Our new roof is absolutely beautiful! THE guys who did it had to work in extreme heat, 90, days and never complained. There was no mess when they finished. Great workers. So happy with our new roof. Neighbors like it too."

"Was amazing about getting my house both tested for lead paint and then having the lead paint encapsulated on the exterior of my home. I had to have the exterior of my home repainted before a certain date as a requirement for my FHA loan and they got it done as soon as the weather permitted."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"We needed a new roof on our cabin and garage so we called Aspen Contracting after seeing their signs and looking them up online. They came out the next day and did a very thorough inspection of the property. After the inspection, we were told that there appeared to be some damages to the roof from the recent storms and that we may want to file a claim. We did just that. Aspen then met our adjuster on site and assisted them with their assessment. Aspen brought out a full detailed estimate to give to the adjuster as well as their measurements and pictures. Needless to say, the damage was fairly sever and warranted a full replacement on the house. The garage and shed showed no damage due to tree coverage. Aspen gave us a price on those as well because we figured we should just do them all at once. The project started the following Thursday. The crew was very professional and never seemed to stop working. Not sure I've ever had dealings with a harder working group. They had all 3 buildings completed in 2 days!! I would see and hear the old roofing being torn off but when they were all finished, the yard was as if nothing had ever happened. They ever repair some fascia & siding while they were there. We were so impressed with Aspen that we had them inspect our friends house on the other side of town. Aspen found no damage to the roof and said that the roof had a few years left before it truly needed to be replaced. Aspen will DEFINITELY be getting a call. Our roof(s) look absolutely amazing and come with a lifetime labor & material warranty to boot!!! I will be referring Aspen Contracting Inc of Michigan to everyone!"

Siding questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install stucco siding on a home is around $5,700, with most homeowners paying between $2,200 and $9,100. However, the total cost can range from $750 to as high as $22,750 depending on several factors. On average, you can expect to pay between $7 and $9 per square foot. Key cost factors include the size and complexity of your home, the desired color and texture, labor and material costs in your area, and whether you have a multi-story home. Specific applications have different costs, such as adding stucco over brick ($7 per square foot) or over wood siding ($8.50 per square foot). To save money, you can consider removing the old siding yourself or scheduling the installation during the off-season.

You may only need to repaint fiber cement siding every decade or so, but you should clean it every six to 12 months, depending on your local climate. First, wash with a garden hose or similar low-pressure device (not a high-pressure washer, which can damage the material) to remove dirt and any large debris. Then, gently wipe down the surface with a soft brush or cloth in a side-to-side motion, following the grain of the fiber cement.

Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

That said, composite siding is not entirely immune from moisture damage. It should still be properly installed so that moisture can properly drain from behind the siding, and protected by eaves and clean gutter so the siding doesn’t get repeatedly soaked by rain, which could lead to damage.

Traditional clapboard siding, particularly with panels made from wood, is not a significant insulator on its own. However, you can keep your home cooler in summer and warmer with "insulated clapboard siding," which is a type of vinyl clapboard siding with a built-in foam insulation. Consult a local siding contractor to determine whether insulated siding is right for your home.

Look and feel for signs of damage after a hail storm. On vinyl siding, there will likely be cracks or holes. If you have steel or aluminum siding, look for dents and cracked or chipped paint. For wood and fiber cement boards, dents are the most common sign of hail damage.
