"Critical: Professionalism, Value I called Omega to check out smoke transfer between flues. Al quoted flue top dampers at $900 each and cleanings at $300 each. He said he would need to schedule a day to do the work. Thinking this must be an extensive project, I bought it. Ten days later I finally was called to say they would come that afternoon to do it. After the cleaning they glued dampers to the tops of the flues and were done in about 45 minutes. Al defended his $750/hour labor rate and double cleaning rate, saying it was due to his "high overhead" costs that I didn't understand. I still don't understand. Omega Construction is aptly named, they are the last one you should think of calling. They apparently only maintain their good BBB rating because the BBB doesn't consider "pricing issues" or "buyer's remorse" in their calculations. BBB is basically another way to advertise."

"I was impressed with this company from The first time they came out to quote the job because I was immediately handed a folder that contained their license and proof of insurance. I accepted the bid and, while we got off to a few false starts, the work was completed in April 2025. The crew that came out was professional, efficient, and very respectful of my property. The chimney and tuck point repair work that they completed was professionally done and you could tell that they took great pride in Their work from the pictures that they showed me of the completed job. I would recommend this company to anyone needing brickwork restoration and would use them again!"

"TEMO warranty is a joke. The first time I tried to make a claim it was denied. First they had no record of my registration. I have been told that they are just now developing an electronic storage for registrations and they are dealing with issues for anything built prior to 2023. I was told I was not registered. So I am penalized for their in ability to track and maintain customers registrations. Secondly, anything you try to make a claim on they will refuse stating "installation error". Evidently they have no intentions of fulfilling any claims on with their warranty, even when provided proper documentation. Steer clear and find a mfg that stands behind their products. TEMO isn't it."

This was true from the pre-work site visit which was done with honesty and integrity. Patching a few areas would have cost less and wouldn’t have lasted but a few years. Joseph put the customer (HOA) best interests first. Our main road was rotting and wouldn’t last which meant repair would be a waste of HOA funds. Joseph was the only person out of 4 firms quoting who pointed out the entrance from North Territorial road also needed seal coating. The competence demonstrated from a 30 minute walk through of the road and driveways set HTP apart from 3 other bidders. Joseph provided written estimate and modified it with extra detail that I requested. It’s difficult to find competent firms and people with integrity. Hard stop Paving completed work within 3 weeks of signed contract and our roads and driveways look new and were paved to perfection. Joseph’s father runs the crew with Joseph’s help and has 4 decades of experience. Their crew includes a 35 year employee that brings competence AND diversity to the job site every day. They did not rush, they were meticulous from excavating the old surface of the road, obtained asphalt material with proper color match to driveway seal cost and the place looks new. Crack fill on driveways was thorough which enabled double spray coating driveway surfaces in a single application. The value that Hard Top Paving provides (function divided by cost) is the highest of any asphalt paving firm I have dealt with over the past 40 years. Found out that Decks Unlimited was the subcontractor for one of the big box companies. I have a familiarity with residential construction, and unlike other companies, they didn't try to BS me. Again, unlike others, did not try to up sell me. L Very pleased with their work. They worked well within my HOA constraints. Just had an issue with clean up after the work was done, but I honestly believe it was because of weather, which put them behind schedule on other jobs. Who would have thought we would have rain and snow in the same week that late in the spring? I would highly recommend them."
