DISHONEST & UNETHICAL. DO NOT USE!!! This company purposely manipulates wiring, controllers and connections during their winterization process in order to create additional service needs during the spring start up. Through this "start up" they will also nickle and dime you with repairs they were unauthorized to do (i.e. "we just went ahead and replaced several heads that we noticed were damaged" and then tack them on the bill). I've also had them damage my intake hose 2 out of the last 3 years and then attempt to charge me for the service call visit while cleverly tacking on several unauthorized (and unnecessary) sprinkler head repairs. Each season, I have specifically asked them to NOT to disconnect wires on my controller (they still did). This season I asked them if they insist on disconnecting anything to either show me, take a pic or label what they disconnected (they didn't). This is the game they play to get you to use them each spring. This last season they stooped to a new unethical low point by loosening 6 main hose clamps on my 3 year old pump which caused impeller damage and nearly ruining the pump entirely. Coincidentally, my neighbors who jointly used them for our winterization also experience these exact same issue with one of them also having their 4 year old pump to burn out as well. These guys are shady and unethical...look elsewhere for honest service.

Maddox has a habit of not showing up for appointments, no eCommerce/way of making on-line appointment, the office staff makes you feel as if you are lucky they can schedule an appointment for 4 weeks from the date you are calling. I would NOT recommend using Maddox, unless you want 3 cancelled appointments, and like rude service team.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU LOOK ELSE WHERE FOR SPRINKLERS Maddox installed my sprinkler system and they had several issues with installation. First issue is the primary issue. They did a bore under my concrete sidewalk and the sidewalk shifted because of this bore causing a crack in sidewalk. Attempted to contact the company for a month and no one called me back. Today, the owner came out and argued with me that where the crack is not where the bore was; it was in the same square. At the end after I told him I was going to contact the better BBB, he stated he would have fixed it if I did not say that and he just left. I have a recording of him saying this. Second issue is during installation they cut my neighbors cable line and used electrical tape to put it back together. Third issue I had is that when they installed my sprinkler system they failed to put clamps on one section. When I called them about this last year about lots of water in the yard they told me it was not from the sprinklers. When they came out this year they admitted that they did not put the clamps on the line. I was paying for this all last year because of the water leak.

They gave me advise on how to keep the costs down and put the sprinkling heads where they would be most effective. They gave me good common sense advise to make the job workable and reasonable. The owner, Brian Maddox, was really helpful.

Crew arrived as scheduled and with a big enough crew to handle the entire project several hours. The crew members were hard working, professional, and friendly. When the installation was complete, a crew member walked my wife and I through the programming of the controller and answered all of our questions. I will (and have) recommend Maddox to friends and family looking to install an irrigation system. Pricing was also very reasonable for the amount of work that was performed. If you are looking for a great irrigation company, look no further than Maddox.

I'm impressed with the time spent and level of detail with our spring start up. When things didn't function as well as they knew it should they spent the time and energy to get it going just right. I never would have been able to tell the difference but they could and they wanted it right. I liked that.

The two techs that showed up were friendly and got right to work.  They discovered I had two rotator heads that were not working and a broken sprinkler head in addition to two line breaks (thanks to some landscapers that were overzealous in their shoveling).  They got everything fixed and were out of there in about an hour!

Terrible, but did not realize how I got ripped off until this spring when I opened my sprinkler system. the Maddox Tech took the drain cap off my system in the basement, which I was not aware of, then proceeded to ask me for a bucket, which he very securely attached to the plumbing directly over the drain which he knew was going to **** water when I went to open my sprinkler system in the spring of 2016. I thought it was odd that he asked for a bucket because in 37 years of living in this house, no company has ever asked for a bucket. Single women, widows like me, beware of Maddox Irrigation!!

The Maddox team was very thorough and polite. They were prompt and did a great job. They came back a week or so later to make adjustments to the sprinkler heads and coverage. I called them a couple months later to adjust some heads and they came right out. No charge.

the service provided the replacement, but member thought it was outlandish for company to charge for the sprinkler head, on top of a service fee, and hourly fees, they were not accomodating.

It was awesome.  They were supposed to come on Monday but with all the rain it had to be postponed until Thursday.  They were at my house at the time they said they would be and had 5 or 6 guys working.  Brian was here and went over everything with me and we ended up adding some additional watering zones.  They needed the landscaping company to come out and show them were the back yard landscaping would be so Paul came out and showed them.  Brian came back a couple times to make sure the job was going smoothly.  Jose was the gentlemen I dealt with, he was the foreman.  He explained everything to me and showed me how all the zones worked once the sprinklers were installed.  They cleaned up everything and the work went off without a hitch.  They were excellent and I would absolutely recommend Maddox for future work or anyone who needs sprinkler work.  The actual appointment I had with Brain where he gave me the estimate and explained all the prices to me was very good.  He was very professional and went over everything with me until I understood it

hort order.Installation went pretty well.  The crew was timely and professional.  I had a couple of issues after installation but Maddox was responsive and sent someone out to address all of them in short order.  Would it have been better if there were zero issues after installation?  Of course.  The reason I am please with Maddox is that when there were issues, and not every job will go perfect, they addressed them quickly and to my satisfaction.  It's nice to know they stand behind their work.

Brian at Maddox was great and I was very impressed with them. We had three quotes and his came in at the lowest and offered the most value for what we were trying to do. When he came out to give us a quote, he took the time to go through each zone of our current system to identify problem areas as well as assess a new 450 yard zone where we were adding new sod. What i liked the most is that they didn't try to sell us all of these bells and whistles - he seemed very honest about what needed to be fixed vs. what could stay in place. They came out less than a week later and did the job efficiently and everything went smoothly. the sprinklers are working great and we were very pleased with their work and the overall experience. We would definitely recommend them!

I had Maddox Irrigation design and install my sprinkler system in our first house. Since then they are the only company we use. Our new home is a bit further away, but they are still my go to company when it comes to sprinkler systems. They now manage both our homes. One is a rental home the other is our residence.
They recently started up our rental home after a long cold winter. Fortunately no broken heads or lines. They showed up ahead of schedule, and were there to dial everything in. 
They also came to our new home. I have been recently doing quite a bit of new landscaping which definitely affected the existing sprinkler system that was installed prior to us moving in. The Maddox crew was able to make adjustments to some of the heads on different zones to keep new landscaping watered. It is only a temporary solution, we will ultimately, once all landscaping is complete be having a new system put in. Maddox Irrigation will be the ones doing the new installation. They have great customer service, are priced fairly, and really go the extra step to ensure you get what you want!!

They went above and beyond.  They are the best service provider I've ever used. Period.  Brian and the crew were phenomenal!  Even when I had a cap pop off, they came out right away to fix it.  They were incredibly responsive and I was just impressed overall.  I can't even say enough good things about them.  Their pricing is good and they're incredibly knowledgeable.  I won't hesitate to call them again if I need more work done.  HIGHLY recommended.

First of all they arrived at the time they said they would be between 12 p.m. And 6 p.m. And they arrived at around 1 pm. I am not going to ever use this company again because I believe that their professionalism was terrible. The first thing that I did not like was when I asked one of the guys if they had change for a 100 dollor bill and he said maybe and then walked away from me and turn it back on me and went into my garage started counting his money like i was going to rob himand then walked away and turn it back on me and started counting his money like you thought I was going to rob him or something. when he told me he did not have change he then me to "hurry up" because they were almost done. I thought that was very unprofessional as well. If tgey had not started the work already I would have told them not to start because I did not appreciate the service that I was receiving. I will not use this company ever again I thought it was very unprofessional how I was treated. I did not tell them that I was on angies list maybe they would have treated different but I do not think that you should be treated different because I am on angies list they should treat all of their clients the same.

Maddox was great to work with. They were prompt to set up a meeting for an estimate. They offered a very competitive quote that pretty much blew everyone else out the water. They also offered water conservation features that no one else did. The work was completed in 2 days. The crew was great. Once the work was done, the putt he grass back where they dug trenches. It almost looked like the lawn had not been touched. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend the Maddox crew without hesitation.

Everything they did was great; however they did kind of screw up on a certain thing for when I go to shut down the water. When I called them to turn on the system this year, they apologized and said that they didn't do it but they would be sure it would be fine when they close it. They were fine. The price was very fair.
