For example, we had some discussion around the best way to paint around the gutters, after which we agreed they would wrap the gutters to keep paint off of them. The company provided a long list of references, of which I actually called 6 and discussed their experiences with the company. All gave glowing reports, and from their comments I could tell they were not plants for the company. Ryan and the crew were always on time and very businesslike. The painting crew chief had 14 years of experience with the company and it showed. They power cleaned the house one day, and did the painting, deck repair, and staining/sealing in two. When you’re considering hiring a painter, a quote should include the following items:

You may need to provide your own paint, depending on the agreement you make with the painter. Some painters prefer that you buy the paint and they supply the labor. However, some professional painters get a better price on paint and can pass that savings along to you even after accounting for labor costs.
