"The team showed up, and completed what they needed to in a short amount of time. Also offered a few suggestions for things that the plumber was not able to complete but noticed where wrong. 10/10 would use again!"

"Five Star Bath Solutions did a wonderful job in our bathroom. The installer were kind, courteous, and very professional. The entire process took less than 2 days, and our new shower looks great. If we ever needed to renovate our bathroom again, we would choose Five Star Bath Solutions in an instant. I'd recommend them to anyone."

"Theyâ ve been great. Got a barrier free shower for my father and itâ s a very nice unit. My only wish - and itâ s hindsight being 20/20- is that they really explain and have hands on models for all the features particularly when doing accessibility related installs. My dad didnâ t quite get the need for the water barrier gasket and we switched out the shower head because he found it too heavy. Our installers were amazing and Iâ m thankful we had the guys we had."

"Trustworthy, personable, timely and experienced. I had my 25 year old master bath remodeled. A beautiful walk in shower was installed along with new flooring, lights, and vanity. They were on time and worked hard all day. Work was completed on time and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Five Star Bath Solutions."

"Everyone we dealt with was kind, friendly, and easy to work with. The inspector, Mark, was very good at explaining the process, and the technicians, Taron and DeShawn did a great job with the waterproofing and foundation repair."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Yes, insulating your cold water pipes is a great way to prevent condensation. When warm, humid air meets cold pipes, condensation forms, which can drip and cause moisture issues in your home. Pipe insulation acts as a barrier between the warm air and the cold pipes, keeping condensation at bay and helping you avoid potential problems like mold or structural damage.

Pipes should be inspected regularly so you can catch any red flags early on. Common issues that you might run into with your pipes include clogs, damage like cracks and leaks, corrosion, or other signs of wear. When you stay on top of an inspection schedule, you'll avoid costly problems like burst pipes.

Today’s standard sink stopper size is 1.5 inches. However, you can still find different sizes if your house uses an older sink stopper. Other sizes you can find in most hardware stores include one inch, 1-1/4 inch, 1-3/8 inch, 1-5/8 inch, 1-7/8 inch, 2 inch, 2-1/4 inch, 2-3/8 inch, and 2.5 inch.

A plumbing emergency is a problem that threatens to severely damage your home or put your family at risk if not addressed immediately. If leaving the issue until regular business hours will cause more damage, it's an emergency. Examples include burst pipes, major leaks, significant drain clogs, a lack of hot water, a suspected gas leak, an out-of-control water heater, or a sewer line backup forcing gases into your home. Many home insurance policies will cover sudden and unexpected plumbing emergencies, provided they are not caused by homeowner negligence.

On average, it takes four to eight hours to install a pedestal sink. However, several factors will influence how much time it takes to install a pedestal sink, including:

  • A replacement will take longer to put in than a new install

  • The size and weight of the pedestal sink—a pro may need an apprentice for help

  • It will take longer to change the sink type vs. replacing the pedestal with a duplicate
