"He said to me, don't focus on the wiring just watch the TV instead. I waited three days later, went to Home Depot and purchase a white stick post and just layed it over the wirer because he nailed and tacked everything to the wall. Its working out, that's how it's going."

"First off - great customer service.  Larry called me within one day of purchasing to go over the details of my home and what we were looking for.  Scheduling was very flexible.  They have evening and weekend appointments.  Installation went smoothly and he took his time explaining the system to us.  We are not "tech" people and this system is very easy for us to use.  We even got a follow up phone call the next day to see if we had any questions.  A+ for this company and I will recommend to my friends and family.

"We have our second home in the mountain so they were able to send it and he was able to work with our installers and it worked out fine. So far we were are pleased with it. We were with another security system for 12 years and we changed because their selection of product was of a higher grade. They are excellent."

"The company is very professional, timely and courteous.
I would definitely use them again and have no qualms about referring them to family and friends.
Our original tech that came out in February was Johnathan H. and he was great. He explained everything that was wrong and what our options were. The invoice is itemized which is very helpful and it also includes a safety inspection check list along with three (3) estimates on what the recommendations are for the repair (good, better, best).
We chose the good option for $1213 which included replacing all the rollers, drums, bearings, cables, rails, belts, garage opener, etc. for the door. The "better" option was $1318, followed by the "best" option at $1529.
The current door we had was solid wood and original to the home (1986-87) and had started bowing which was creating a lot of stress on the system. We eventually replaced the door in May with an almond-colored, insulated,steel- paneled door for an adjusted $1003. (They took $372 off the installation price since we had just had them replace all the other parts earlier on.) They also included a wireless exterior keypad. I believe the insulated doors are generally a little more but they were making room for newer inventory.
While I was not home for the install of the new door, my mother was and she said they (2-3 techs?) were very professional and worked quickly and cleanly. They hauled away the old door and the new one looks and works great.

"Great! George, the technician was on time, a great guy to be around, thorough, responsive and I was very comfortable having him in my home for a few hours. The service works great, he showed us how to use every feature. The system works just as expected and when we've called in for questions or assistance, the call center is courteous and well informed.

"Protect America Alarm Systems are wireless home security systems that are so advanced and yet uncomplicated that the consumer can install all components to the system themselves. Tech support is provided which makes installation easy and very user friendly. The system is monitored and response to alarm signal is quick and nearly immediate. ( I accidentally set it off a couple times having forgotten that it was set when we left home). I've had a couple different systems in my homes over the years which were "professionally" installed; one was wired the other wireless. I install this myself with the help of tech support, I'm 65years old in good health but of course not as agile as I was a few years ago, but this system was a piece of cake for me to install. Every access to my home has been covered as well as some interior sensors. All of which have functioned flawlessly from day one!

Home Automation questions, answered by experts

Keep it clutter-free, ensure bright lighting, and follow staging recommendations to maintain visual appeal.

Professional home staging services can vary between companies and properties, but the primary goal is to set up a house with aesthetic furniture and decor to entice potential buyers. Many stagers offer customizable packages, and you can often pay for additional services. Common offerings include:

  • Design and Planning: Color design, planning each room's layout, and professional interior design services.

  • Furniture and Decor: Choosing and renting furniture, decor, and artwork. This also includes the setup and takedown of all rented materials.

  • Arrangement and Organization: Rearranging existing furniture, decluttering, and organizing the space.

  • Ambiance: Creating a welcoming atmosphere with strategic lighting and accessories.

  • Repairs and Maintenance: Minor repairs, home maintenance, and addressing visible issues.

  • Curb Appeal: Improving the home's exterior with services like painting and garden bed management.

It's best to connect with a professional home stager to see what’s included in their specific packages or to request a custom service.

To stage your home yourself, clean your home thoroughly to sell, leaving it gleaming like a five-star hotel. Less is best—always clear away clutter and anything personal so buyers can focus on the beauty of the rooms. Prospective buyers will check the closets, so investing in a storage space may be necessary.

Move furniture around, mix fabrics and decor, and de-cramp the room by removing any unnecessary furniture. A fresh coat of paint always helps, as do natural features like plants.

You'll likely need more than great home staging to sell your home. Now is a great time to get to work on the curb appeal of your home . Hire local exterior painters and landscapers to coat the exterior of your home and bring it new life with some sprucing up.

Yes, staging a home really works and can help your home sell faster, potentially for a higher price than if you did not use a home staging service. According to the National Association of Realtors, 48% of seller’s agents reported home staging decreased a home’s time on the market.

Plus, 20% of buyer’s and seller’s agents claimed home staging increased home sale prices by 1% to 5%. Although decluttering and cleaning help a home sell, staging can take your home’s curb appeal to the next level, helping to expedite the process and increase your profit.
