My wife and I are so pleased with the result. He replaced rotting boards, sanded and caulked, masked, and painted our trim, shutters, door, and shakes. As a comparison, we had our house painted a few years ago by another company and the quality of the workmanship by Keenan is far superior. I wish I had “before” pictures. "Clay & Kristen are wonderful people to work with. They explained & discussed everything ahead of time before they started. Any concerns they addressed ahead of time. They truly live by their name they picked for there company. I have had alot of different drywall people over the years & none of them took the time to clean up & tape doorways off & blow the dust out the windows to keep the sanding drywall dust out of the rest of my home. And when they finished sanding they saw I had the primer there & surprised me & rolled it on. That was great. That just left me the paint to put on. Even though they went above & beyond by rolling on the primer they still stayed with the price they quoted me at the end. They would not take any money until the end. They want to make sure the customer is happy with the job. Very friendly people and I would definitely use them again. If you want drywall hung this is the company to go with. And one more thing. They are such hard workers they started my project Sept 1st labor day morning & was there at 8 am. So they didnt even take the holiday off. Thank you both so much. Stay safe."

You can skim coat plaster, but it’s better to repair the plaster itself. A skim coat is a thin coat of drywall joint compound spread over the surface of a wall. The result is a flat finish that looks pleasing, but part of the appeal of plaster is its imperfections and aesthetic. Skim coating is best when limited to drywall applications.

Inspect regularly for cracks, clean gently with a damp cloth, and repaint as needed to maintain appearance.

Many services include repainting to match the existing surface. Confirm with your provider.

Smaller is better when patching holes with spackle. Any holes wider than four to six inches in diameter tend to be too wide to repair with spackle alone. You'll likely want to patch bigger holes with a drywall panel. 

Even holes measuring up to 6 inches may be challenging to fill with spackle alone. For best results, purchase a wall repair patch made from wire mesh. Cut the patch to fit over the hole, then use the spackle to hold it in place. Apply the spackle over the patch as you would for a smaller hole.

It may take a bit of patience and trial and error to match your particular drywall texture type when making repairs. For orange peel or knockdown finishes, use a spray texture product or a thinned joint compound applied with a roller or sponge. Practice on scrap drywall or cardboard first. Once dry, lightly sand and prime before painting.
