"Detroit City Sweep came to two of my properties to repair a total of three fireplaces. They did a fine job repairing one gas fireplace and adding caps to my chimney. I had a second gas fireplace that they needed to order a part for. I had to call them half a dozen times to get them to order the part and come back to the house to install it. When they finally did, it turns out they ordered the wrong part. After multiple calls they came out a second time, and again, it was the wrong part. Three weeks passed and on the third visit they brought the wrong part again and said the correct part was going to cost me twice what they originally quoted. I would like to recommend Detroit City Sweep, but I just can't."

"We've been having trouble with our fireplace all last season, so I had Hearth Guardian come out to take a look. They cleaned the whole unit and area, and the darn thing worked like a charm. My advice: get your fireplace cleaned professionally regularly. We had such good service that we are planning to have them back to install a blower into our fireplace."

"The two men came Friday at 2:00 pm and quoted me a price. They said they could get a job done by dark and I gave them the go ahead. They repaired our chimney and was done in 3 hours. They were really good workers and did a super job. It rained last night and no leaks in the garage last night. We really would recommend them for chimney repair. I would give them a 10 out of 10. "It took forever to finally get on the schedule to have the work done once we contracted with them and got the parts ordered. There was also a little confusion over the gas burner that we could have with the log set we had ordered. I think we started the process in early November and were told we would have it done in the first couple weeks of December. We kept being told that there were others on the schedule ahead of us that needed to be completed. We finally got it scheduled and were told it would be a 2-3 day job. I believe the installation took place the week of January 15. It ended up being the full week, but the workers were very diligent, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves very completely. They even braved some extreme weather conditions to get up on the roof and install the chimney liner. We were very happy with the finished product and would have been more irritated with the delays in getting scheduled if we were actually occupying the house at the time. We moved in a couple weeks after the job was completed and have really enjoyed our new fireplace!
