"They are a quality focused company with outstanding customer service. They installed their waterproofing system in our home in a very professional and efficient manner. There's no doubt in my mind that the money invested in this project will add much more to the value of my home. I would hire them in a second. Fremont, OH"

"It's been a little over a year since Everdry finished waterproofing our basement. We liked everyone we worked with throughout the project. We have been so pleased with their work. They use a Multi Step System which keeps ground water away from your home. The installation of the EZ Breathe Ventilation System is a game changer too. Plus - Lifetime, transferable warranty!"

"Michael Brooks and his associate came on time for a schedule basement inspection. They were very thorough and explained their findings and advice. They also explained financing options. We decided on the AquaStop Basement Triple Sump Pump fitted to the existing drain tile. With a deposit on the day of inspection, we were also able to finance the remainder of the cost, which helps us get through tax time. On the day of the install, Jacob called as promised to advise us of their estimated arrival time. The crew, Jacob, Dustin, Cesar, and Jaden, were efficient and responsive to questions. They explained all they had done and how each control worked. And best of all, they left the basement super clean after the work was done. Well done, guys, and well done FSM. Thanks for the peace of mind."

"Fine. They found an unexpected septic tank and reassessed the situation and the additional amount that was charged (with our approval) was reasonable. They had to call the city, as well as other machinery. They were prompt and cleaned up completely. Would recommend them. Professional"

"He was very professional and did a good job. He even came early. He gave me a selection of products to install. And he even came back later to check to see that everything was ok. I highly recommend Edge plumbing."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.

There are a couple of things you can do to help prevent your French drain grate from clogging. First, keep yard debris clear so it doesn’t wash into the drain and clog the grate. You can also install a screen or filter over the grate to prevent large pieces of debris from entering the access point.

That pungent rotten egg smell coming from your drain is likely the buildup of biofilm—hair, skin, and soap scum that turns into a black sticky mess. In this case, pouring down near-boiling water, baking soda, and white vinegar will remove the smell. Keep in mind that a rotten egg smell is occasionally a sign of larger sewage line clogs and other related issues.

It is safe to flush small amounts of bleach down the toilet. Don’t flush more than ¼ cup of bleach. Instead, consider diluting it and pouring it down the sink drain.

This depends on the location of the blockage. If the blockage is in your home’s system, anywhere in the system, it is your responsibility as a homeowner. Blockages seldom happen because of items or buildup coming from the city, which means it originates in the home. It becomes the city’s responsibility at the exact point your home’s line distributes waste into the city’s system. The exception is if the problem in your home damages the city lines.
