A - for carport and retaining wall. A - for Crew responsiveness to my design and wishes. C - for contractor responsiveness. F - for stonework 1. Crew dumped garbage behind retaining wall so when dug up for planting border, had to remove garbage. 2. Stone work very poor. Had to call back to reset stones and had to work on my hands and knees in the rain with a worker to get the job done. Still has pools and major trip-points because of poor leveling. Stones butting up to lawn are falling off because of lack of proper support. Used gatordust between pavers. Did not compact, water and sweep between application layers as directed on manufacturer website. When I saw the completed job, I went to the website. I was present for a majority of the installation and expected that they were doing the job correctly. They laid the stone, swept in the gatordust and wet it down...no compacting, watering or sweeping between layers. Left massive amounts of gatordust on stones. Stones look dirty and those that are supposed to have metallic surface are dull. Gatordust is loose between stones now and weeds are coming up, holes in gatordust is spongy with air pockets under neath. I am having to scrub entire stone area on 3 sides of my house with chemical and wire brush to remove residue. 3. Contractor built stone steps using retaining wall block as a base. They used concrete that had no color to match gatordust, so the finished project looked like gobs of concrete holding stones in place. I asked the contractor to fix it. I had to purchase colorant on my own. Contractor sent a worker to "help" me try to fix it. I did not know how to fix the problem, so I suggested we just push the concrete up under stone and rub it into the block to blend it. The worker agreed. I trusted his judgment...now I really have a mess. Although I followed directions of colorant mix, when it dried, it turned out too dark. The worker did not give input into coloring the concrete. This expensive job is an eyesore and constant work for me to try to mitigate problems and repair issues as they arise. I would not recommend this contractor to install stonework. I would recommend using this contractor for landscaping, brick driveways and retaining walls. The carpenters he selected to build the carport did an excellent job and I am extremely satisfied. They have excellent stock and we have been very impressed by the trees they have planted, and we have planted. Example I planted 4 white Spruce trees that were large enough and required a small tractor to help us get in the ground, some three to four years ago. They were about 6 feet tall. They now stand over 15 to 20 feet high and are extremely healthy. We also planted 5 smaller white pines that were maybe 2 to 3 feet high and they are now over 10 feet high, everyone of them. The only problem we had with them were the deer nibbling on them over the winters but they have all recovered and are giving us privacy along our property line. We also bought over 200 seedlings form Schutz last year and this year. Most of them are doing well even with the extreme draught we are experiencing this year. Shutz trees rock. They grow their trees on some of the best soil in the world, since Imlay City is noted for its peat."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/imlay-city/schutz%27s-tree-farm-inc-reviews-378440.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"JAS PROFESSIONAL PLUMBING","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Dave C."},"reviewBody":"WE DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT SINK TO CHOOSE FROM; HOWEVER, THEY WERE ABLE TO SPECIAL ORDER IT. We hired them to clean up our 3 planting beds in the front of our house. These had been neglected for a number of years and it was beyond the scope of our abilities to clean out all the overgrown plantings. They did a very efficient job cleaning out all of the weeds, arranging the rocks to...

FAQs for plant watering projects in Lake Linden, MI
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
