Horrible experience working with the owner. We're working on the landscaping at the community center in St. Clair. He planted an inferior tree, with a big scar on the trunk. He won't replace it, unless we pay an additional $250. What kind of a landscape company has trees with such damage to the trunk, blight on the leaves, dead branches offered for sale? When we first went there, there were quite a few. Then someone went there, and the employee recommended that this one was the better of the two. A week or two later, it was installed, and I noticed this large scar on the trunk of the tree. When we called the owner, he said it could be frost damage. An employee said the leaves were splotchy brown because of being in shock. He said he doesn't want to give us even a 12 month guarantee, because he believes we will pour gasoline on it just to kill it. Seriously. Might I also mention that he estimated that we needed 25 yards of mulch for the museum property? (We ended up getting about ten, which he said would be about an inch thick then.) We have about seven yards distributed and the project is almost done.
