"Called on Thursday, had an appointment for Monday evening. Jake showed up, diagnosed the problem and repaired it in less than a half hour. We are so thankful it was not a bigger issue, all I could see were dollar signs prior to his visit. Did a very good job. We will be using him for some other needed repairs around our duplex. Thanks Jake and Angie's List."

"I made arrangements in the fall for the gutters on my roof to be cleaned. There was an unexpected issue that came up with RRS and he promised in December to clean the gutters. It is now Jan. 5 and this fall clean up project has not been completed yet. No word when it will be done."

"I am in the process of remodeling a master bedroom and hired Vince to repair a section of the closet plaster wall and ceiling that had had water damage at some point in the past. This was one of those projects where you don't necessarily know what you are getting into until you start digging in, and despite being fairly handy, I was not comfortable tackling it on my own. Vince examined the situation, explained what he thought was going on and discussed possible repair options. We agreed on a plan of removing and replacing the damaged section, and the next morning he and his partner started tearing it down. By the end of the day, I had a new wall and cannot even tell that there was ever a problem to begin with. He also touched up some miscellaneous damaged spots on other walls to get me in good shape to prime and paint. As a new homeowner of an older home with a growing list of improvement projects, I am always looking for quality, honest workmanship and will consider hiring BMW again in the future."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Most homes will sustain water damage without gutters. When a home doesn't have gutters, water that runs off the roof will splash down to the ground to create foundation damage, rotting trim, rotting fascia, and soil erosion. A broken or compromised gutter system can be just as damaging as having no gutters. That's why it's essential to talk to roofing pros about how to fix gutters pulling away from house as soon as you notice an issue.

Yes, gutter repair is almost always worth the investment. Some homeowners believe that gutter repairs are only to improve the home’s curb appeal, but gutters play a pivotal role in protecting your foundation from damage and structural instability, and they also prevent water damage to your soffits, fascia, roof, and exterior walls. You will pay an average of around $400 to have your gutters professionally repaired, but it’s worth it even for the peace of mind of knowing that one of your largest investments is adequately protected from the elements.

DIY is possible for minor leaks or realignments. Professional services handle complex issues like sagging or joint repairs.

The gutter gauge is a measurement of the thickness of the gutter material. If you have gutters that are too thick and heavy for the screws and brackets holding them in place, they may sag. Materials that are too thin could suffer damage that leads to sagging. A professional gutter installer can ensure you have the right gutter gauge.

Leaks, corrosion, sagging sections, and loose fasteners are common problems that need fixing.
