"Very Well. BCM roofed my garage 4-5 years ago. The garage was a leaking mess and they did a terrific job with it. When the wind blew shingles off my house roof I called them in. Another great job, highly recommended. I like that they gave me a straight up quote, no song and dance or pressure tactics. THANK YOU."

"Alexandria Windows and Doors removed my front door with two side lites and reinstalled it correctly. It is only 5 years old and was shifting. Another company quoted me $800 but Alexandria did an excellent job for $300. I would definitely use them again."

"The guys who showed up were very polite and were very helpful. We were worried about damage to our landscaping, but they were so careful. The roof looks great! We got metal valleys which I didn't even know was a thing, but after Bill showed me some examples we decided to go for it. I'm glad we did because we have the best looking house on the block now! The 50 year warranty was a bonus too. A guy from the GAF factory came out and inspected the roof and said it was perfect.
We recommended them to my parents who also need work. Glad we found them!

Siding questions, answered by experts

There should be small gaps between your roof and the walls of your home, and other buildings. These small gaps let building materials shift, expand, and contract with weather and other outside forces, and they prevent moisture from wicking down walls from roofing and gutter systems. Without these strategic gaps, your home’s exterior and its finishes can sustain water damage, decay, peel, delaminate, and crack. However, there is a fine line between a smart gap and a problematic gap—all  gaps should be small, intentional, and covered or filled in with foam insulation to prevent pests from using them as access points.

Steel and aluminum are two types of metal siding that are commonly used for residential and commercial buildings, but the materials have specific differences. Typically, steel is heavier and sturdier, fending off scratches and dents, while aluminum is lightweight and more prone to damage. Cost is another differentiating factor, as steel is more expensive than aluminum siding cost.

Traditional clapboard siding, particularly with panels made from wood, is not a significant insulator on its own. However, you can keep your home cooler in summer and warmer with "insulated clapboard siding," which is a type of vinyl clapboard siding with a built-in foam insulation. Consult a local siding contractor to determine whether insulated siding is right for your home.

Typically 1-2 days, depending on damage extent and panel availability.

Regular washing and quick repair of damaged areas to maintain appearance.
