We offer tile and flooring service. as well as pressure washing and deck/porch staining. We have multiple crews made up of very experienced painters. Free estimates are provided, and a 25% deposit is due upon signing a contract, with the remaining 75% due at time of project completion.

They handled EIFS (stucco) repairs around our home and also helped seal the perimeter to keep rodents out. On top of that, they went above and beyond—they even pulled out all the weeds and laid rocks around the house to make everything look clean and finished. They did extra work without charging us, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. One note is that the color we picked out didn’t match exactly because the swatch was from a different brand they use. But if you look on the back of the paint chip, it says it might not be an exact match anyway, but we are very pleased with the results. Also the O’Leary paint they use is a ceramic based paint, and low maintenance. You clean the surface with mild soap and water."

It is possible to remove wallpaper yourself, but it’s typically better to leave the work to a professional. Some types of wallpaper can prove to be a real challenge to remove, and the process is labor intensive regardless, so most homeowners prefer to save themselves time and frustration by hiring a pro. Professional wallpaper companies have special tools like steamers and the experience to use them effectively without damaging the drywall behind it, which can get damaged if it gets too wet. Hiring a pro gets the job done quickly and minimizes the wall prep you’ll need to do afterward.

While it is possible to paint over wallpaper, it’s not always ideal. If the wallpaper is firmly adhered, has no bubbling or peeling, and isn’t textured, you can try to prime and paint over it. Use an oil-based primer to prevent the adhesive from bleeding through. However, if the paper is damaged or loose, removal is the better long-term solution.

You can paint over existing wallpaper if you select wallpaper that is designed to be paintable. This type of paper is meant to add texture to walls. Alternatively, if you have old wallpaper you’d like to cover up, you can often paint over that instead of removing it. However, it needs to be smooth, damage-free, and non-textured. Otherwise, any bumps, tears, and texture will show through the paint.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

Painting over wood paneling is an option that can save you money and time. However, if you go this route, the style and texture of the wood you paint over will still be evident. Painting over paneling is an excellent way to modernize an otherwise outdated aesthetic. Instead of removing wood panels, consider painting them a bright color–like white or ivory. This is essentially wainscoting, but without any of the required installation.
