"They were extremely nice and easy to talk to. The price of the project was totally reasonable and I haven't seen one ant since they came out. I was also offered advice on how to prevent any ants from coming into the house again and very much appreciated these helpful hints. I would highly recommend Pest Control Solutions!"

"Michigan Animal Control LLC is very responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. I had three different areas that birds had entered the 2nd floor ventilation ducts and were fully nesting. The birds and nests were safely removed, the ducts were fully cleared, and the duct vents were secured to prevent future problems. MAC also provided a thorough assessment, along with suggestions, to prevent future challenges. MAC has wonderful customer service, working to set a mutually agreeable time, prompt in arrival and in work, as well as friendly and considerate to the job being completed."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Bleach can technically kill drain flies, but it’s not really a great tool for getting rid of an infestation. Bleach flows down your pipes too quickly to penetrate the film where drain flies lay their eggs. Alternatively, you can use it to clean around drains, which can help prevent drain flies from returning once you get rid of the infestation.

Professionals employ protective measures such as covering or temporarily relocating plants, minimizing chemical usage, and carefully planning construction routes to avoid damage. These precautions preserve the integrity and appearance of the landscaping during projects.

Squirrels tend to forage, traveling along roof and fence lines. To trap a squirrel, placing a baited trap on the roof near the point of entry is the best option. If you can see them going in and out or recognize the damage they might be causing to the exterior of your home, you can also try placing traps near those locations.

Gnats may eventually go away on their own, but it depends on the source of their attraction. If the environment that’s attracting them—such as overwatered plants, moist areas, or food debris—isn't addressed, they can persist or even increase in numbers. Reducing moisture, improving drainage, and cleaning up organic matter can help eliminate them. Without these changes, gnats are likely to stick around and continue breeding, making it important to remove their breeding grounds to get rid of them for good.

While foxes may find them unpleasant, mothballs are not an effective deterrent. Additionally, mothballs are toxic for humans and animals and should never be used outside. They contain naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene, which are very harmful to the environment. Use safer, more reliable deterrents, or hire a professional wildlife control expert.
