"My air conditioner stopped working  and I checked Angie's List for reviews of ac repair providers. I chose Metzger's based on their good reviews.  The gal who answered the phone was pleasant and asked when I wanted someone to come out.  I asked when the soonest was available and she said someone could come that afternoon.  The repairman's name was Nathan and he thought he knew what the problem was within the first minute or so.  He was right and was able to replace the part ( I believe it was the capacitor) and then did a "tune up" on the ac unit (which it was in need of).  He was very pleasant and showed a kind respect for my home by removing his shoes before coming into the house.  He was done in less than an hour and I was delighted to have the ac back in working order.

"There were to installation technicians that showed up at my house on May 16, 2014 at approximately 9:30 AM and they seemed well prepared for the job at hand. They were more concerned about interfering with my day and wanting to make sure that they were not going to be in the way.

They asked me where I would like the outdoor unit placed and I advised them that I had no idea where to put it and I would leave that decision up to them.

They asked me a few questions about what usually went on outside during the day and based on that information they were able to place the fan unit at the back of the house.

I was impressed with the fact that they advised me on everything that they were doing so that I had an understanding of why it was being done and that if anything was to go wrong I would be able to figure it out, which would make it easier when I call them if I needed repairs done.

The two gentlemen work through their lunch, which I felt bad about and if I had been thinking I would have fed them lunch but they seem more concerned about getting the job done and making sure that it was done correctly.

They took extra time to answer my questions and listen to my stories, which probably delayed them somewhat but they were courteous about it and listened.

They were very professional and had the utmost concern for my home, my yard, and make sure that when they left they took all of their trash with them.

A word to the wise if you use these guys, they love rhubarb pie.

I would have no problem in recommending this company to my friends and family.

"Thank you. I ended up with a furnace and air conditioner properly sized for my house, which has dropped my utility bills (so far) by $100 a month. They also came up with a great plan for a steam humidifier to address my breathing problems, and truly the air is cleaner than it used to be. I have been able to discontinue using most of the extra HEPA units I've been running, which once they are all off may increase the savings to $200 a month. Thanks for really figuring out what I need! I will be back if I need anything else! Note: final calibration of the steam humidifier will occur after our water softener gets fixed, for the obvious reason. I totally trust them to come back and finish up that little bit!"
