"Ben and his team were great! Weâ ve been in the process of moving and our yard was in desperate need of some love. When the time came to take care of the landscaping Ben and the rest of soil friends excavation were the only guys I wanted to do the job. Ben came and quoted us faster than I expected and worked us into his busy schedule. Him and his guys worked quickly and did an excellent job. I will forever hire soil friends excavation for future projects and always suggest them to others in the area. Thanks for turning my shabby yard into the best looking yard on the block!"

"I submitted a request for a quote for leaf removal thinking I would hear back in a few days. Then only a maybe an hour or two later I was called. To my surprise and relief they were able to come that night to pick up about 8 yards of leaves we had accumulated in our front yard! I was so impressed and relieved, as life had gotten away from us and our neighbors were filing complaints. Service was friendly and understanding. This was the best experience I have had with a landscaping company in this area."

"Working with Jim was great. He came out and reviewed the work I wanted done and gave me a reasonable quote. When it came to doing the work he showed up exactly when he said he would, and charged me exactly what we agreed to, and did a great job. I'm very happy with the finished product."

"Everything about the experience was great. The dumpster was delivered before we even were awake for the day and they communicated on the day of removal to ask if we were finished. They were friendly and answered all questions professionally. We will definitely be using them again."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

The best place to plant a rose bush is where it will be happiest. Growing roses is difficult if the location varies much from what the plants like. Choose a location that gets at least six hours of direct sunlight during the growing season but not much more than that in hot-climate locations. If such a spot doesn't exist in your yard, consider planting your rose in a movable container to take advantage of portability.

In addition to aloe vera and lilac, other effective humidity-reducing plants include peace lilies, Boston ferns, English ivy, spider plants, and lucky bamboo. These plants thrive in humid environments and can naturally lower moisture levels. Place them in areas prone to dampness for the best results.

Yes, if you are using rocks to form a pathway or driveway, it’s a good idea to first install landscape fabric before layering in your rocks. Landscape fabric is your first line of defense against unwanted grass and weeds on your rocky surface.

The duration of a lakefront landscaping project is determined by its scope, environmental conditions, and weather impacts. It often takes several weeks to a few months to complete.

The best time to plant a privet hedge is autumn, ideally October or early November. Fall is the best time to plant privet hedges because young plants need plenty of water to jump-start their growth, and it typically rains more during this season. However, you can also successfully plant privets in the spring.
