We hired Thatcher and son Plumbing to complete our water line repair back to the city's Tap. Little did we know that they don't do excavating and that is what is needed to complete the job. the job was started in June 2023 and isn't still complete in August 2024. per the city they were supposed to relay the city's cement in the alley slab to slab, because they hire a 3rd party company Ready Dig Excavation without our knowledge to do the excavating. We have requested all the paperwork and this to include to city permit and drawings for the job, and yet to received, I have called and left messages and sent txt and email to no avail. this company is a rip off and if they tell you they do sewer tap work don't believe them they are posing as contractor and they have to sub the work out

I was unable to remove a clog from an upstairs toilet. We had paid for this company to come out. His initial cost to come out was $300. This is just to verify everything that had already been verified. He had removed the toilet that had already been removed, and charged for a new flange that was already brand new. He did use a camera and found a few issues, and managed to remove the clog. He said he would have to remove the pipe drywall and subfloor. Just from upstairs to downstairs 10,000$ estate. The clog was only effecting the upstairs mind you. All other drains worked. Once clog was removed he said nothings guaranteed and only the shower use is advised. Total cost $1,100. Now I’m a current IBEW member and worked for the Roseville Water/Sewer Dept prior. Prices are to High, Service is poor. Will supply you with parts you don’t need. His total time was around an HR.

Much more difficult than expected. Bill worked really hard and finally cleared the obstructions. Years old sludge was very stubborn.

Hired Thatcher & Son Services to fix a clogged drain. ?Called on a Friday afternoon and had two plumbers out later that same day. ?Jean & Bill were great, very professional yet still personable. ?They gave me a no pressure quote, didn't charge any other fees, and took care of the clogged drain quickly. ?They even helped to show me how to fix another clogged drain I had in the future before leaving. ?I would definitely recommend this company, thanks again!

They came, did a wonderful job and left. They returned on Monday to checked the water pressure.

After they did the plumbing work and installed the main drain, I now have a leak in my basement. These issues started after the work was done. The concrete work afterwards was horrible. We sustained incredible property damage over this, and we are not the only ones in our building to complain about them. This job was supposed to disrupt my life for one week, and it is ending being over five weeks and the job is still not done. We did not have anyone explain to us what was going to happen during the job, or after the local flooding started. I feel like I was not properly prepared for the scope of this job. Thatcher returned and repaired a problem with their original work. Once again they did little in the way of dust abatement and I ,once again, was left with a massive cleaning bill. They said they tented but all that amounted to was draping some plastic over some of the boxes in the basement. All of the clean rugs I had just washed were left hanging on the line. They did not shut off the furnace fan so the concrete dust was drawn into the vents spreading the dust throughout the entire house and they did not put plastic up in the kitchen to keep the dust from migrating up the stairwell. The concrete work was shoddy at best. As it cured in sank and cracked. They cam back to skim coat the depression and the patching material looked like it was applied with a spatula. It resembled cake frosting complete with decorative swirls. When I asked one of the plumbers to move back the items they had moved for access I was told that, "I didn't move it." I stated that someone on the crew must have and please put it back. He told me, "If I move it and something falls off it is your problem if it messes up the skim coat." I then stated, "If you are concerned about damaging the patchwork, please remove the items on the shelving unit, move the shelf and replace the items." It was like dealing with a teenager! I ended up moving all the large items they pushed to the side. I ended up having to, once again, clean my entire house including lumps of broken concrete they left on the basement floor. Since the original work needed repair I need to change my rating adjusting it downwards. If you use this contractor please make sure you spell out in detail what their responsibilities are. Broom clean is NOT broom clean!

We called Thatcher and Son on Saturday at about noon because our kitchen faucet was leaking and completely non-functional. We were so glad that he was able to come out later that day at 4:00pm! I had picked up the faucet from Lowes, and when he went to install the faucet itself, there was apparently a defect in the threading. He was kind enough to wait at the house while I went to the store and exchanged the defective faucet. We couldn't have been more pleased.

He was right on time & was sent by my home warranty company. He seemed very organized. He didn't take long with the repairs, and he also spent time investigating the toilet operation to make sure everything was working properly. The cost was $50.00 deductible to my home warranty company.
