"It went very well, Cody arrived on time, explained what he was doing and did it. I find Cody Thompson to be a very good service man and was satisfied with him arriving on time, doing his job and telling when he was done and what he had done. Thank You !!"

But I only want to make sure its done right, The first time.\nI've been doing maintainece repairs for about 2 and half years now. "Cloverleaf Electric, LLC. It was a pleasure working with Shawn and his crew the beginning of November 2023. I called Cloverleaf Electric because I was having health issues associated with the strong WIFI signal that was coming into our home. Our internet provider was not helpful at all. I found Cloverleaf Electric on Home Advisor. I explained to Shawn that I am WIFI sensitive and that I wanted to move our WIFI box to another area of our house, so the signal was not so strong. I told Shawn that I have been using 100-foot Ethernet cords running from our modem to the tv and computer. Shawn was very knowledgeable and explained how his team would be able to fish Ethernet cables though the walls and our crawl space for internet hook up. The job was not easy because we have a finished basement. Shawn and his crew did an excellent job. They showed up on time, cleaned up before they left, moved the modem to the basement, installed Ethernet cables in various places in the house, and added a smart hub for the extra cable lines. I also asked them to install four new outdoor lights. The crew was professional, hardworking, knowledgeable and had great communication skills. I would highly recommend Cloverleaf for any electrical work that you need done in your home. J. K. Canton, Michigan"

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

A 1,500 square foot home will likely need a 15kW to 20kW generator. When deciding on whole-house generator size, add up the total wattage of the devices that you’d like to continue running during a power outage. That way, you can ensure you purchase a generator that can power your necessary appliances or medical equipment during an electrical emergency.

If your home already has a grinder pump and you’re still noticing issues (like frequently clogged toilets and sinks), it could be time to upgrade your grinder pump. Start by checking your existing horsepower. If there are four or fewer people living in your home, using a 1/2-horsepower grinder pump should be sufficient. Larger households should consider investing in a 1-horsepower grinder pump to maximize wastewater removal efforts.

In many cases, yes. There are models called dual-fuel generators and fuel switches, but only between certain types of fuel. For example, with the right setup you can convert a generator from natural gas to propane. Some allow switching between diesel and gasoline. There are even tri-fuel generators available in some cases, which adds a large layer of security if you are worried about fuel availability in times of crisis. Always check your generator capabilities and manual instructions before trying to switch fuels. Some generators can use another fuel but may need a fuel conversion kit to prep them first.

Yes, natural gas generators can work without electricity. Natural gas generators are a common type of backup or whole-house generator that operates when the electrical grid isn’t working. The trick is using a transfer switch (which usually needs to be installed with the generator) that safely switches the home electrical system from the power grid to generator power when needed.

If you’re wondering whether gas generators produce carbon monoxide, know that natural gas generators do not produce carbon monoxide if they are functioning properly, as natural gas burns cleanly. However, if the generator malfunctions and the gas does not burn completely, there is potential for carbon dioxide to be produced. To prevent malfunctions, it's crucial to perform regular maintenance, including running the generator weekly and scheduling professional inspections every 6 to 12 months. Also, be sure to test your carbon monoxide detectors regularly to ensure they function in the rare case of the generator producing carbon monoxide.
