"Craig arrived earlier than expected (I appreciated his promptness) and completed the projects I needed done in the time indicated. I had used a special 2 hours of handyman service. I had had four (4) suggested companies to my original inquiry, and only MY HANDYMAN responded. "Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."

"My home was broken into a few days before I was leaving town for business. The front doors could not be secured and are not of a standard size. Kenny did an excellent job of explaining options and worked with me to find a temporary solution that would allow me to leave and feel the house was secure. Custom front doors will be built and installed later. A security door was installed in the back and window bars were installed on the windows --- all of this work was done well and the installers were courteous, pleasant and timely. I will be using Protector Window & Door for the additional work that needs to be done.

"They gave us the best rate and the setup was great for ADT system. The installer did have to tell us about other options that would cost more money but he did not pressure us when we declined. We had door, window and motion detectors included. They gave us a week to practice on the new system, but we could call if we were ready to go live sooner which we did. Set up was quick, easy and uneventful. Very nice installer, Phillip Brown. The cost was quoted at a low price, but the bill came from ADT and was much higher. We were told the contract to ADT did not catch up and we will be getting the lower price with a reimbursement for the excess of the first bill. We did the $99 install and are getting a $100 gift card back. 3 year contract is a little annoying but we plan to stay here for a long time."

"We installed it ourselves. For all the equipment and everything it was $103. The price was very good because my monthly payment was only $49 a month. I like them better and I have heard too many horror stories for another company. Responsiveness, I would have to give them a 100%. I have set the alarm off by opening the door without turning it off and they were right on top of it to call and make sure we were okay. I love it. I feel safe. The quality is good. We own our equipment so when we move it will go with us. We have 9 sensors that came with that plus the other one that will go off when you move around, the motion sensor. I have had no bad problems at all. They are alert and call right away to make sure we are okay. I have the key fob and also it is battery operated if the power goes out. It is wireless and I can program it from my phone."
