"We had some sewage back up into our basement sink on a Saturday morning. I called Clog Busters based on their Angie’s List reviews. They didn’t have a crew available on the weekend, but were available on the following Monday. The crew did a great job explaining the problem and finding a solution for me. Great customer service and they earned their money working in some frigid and snowy weather. I hope to never have another sewer backup, but if I do, I will call Clog Busters."

"Aaron and his team came out after hours the same evening I posted the information on HomeAdvisor. They were very respectful of our strict quarantine measures and quickly cleared the blockage from our sewer line. This was a recurring problem and Aaron recommended that we consider replacing the sewer line at some point as it was old and broken in areas. We decided to have it done right away. We were very pleased and impressed with him and his team and highly recommend them."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Schedule regular inspections, fix minor issues promptly, and ensure proper drainage.

If you want to avoid using a snake to unclog a drain, or if you don’t have one, try vinegar and baking soda. Pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Wait for 15 minutes, and then run hot water (but not boiling water) down the drain to see if the clog is clear. Repeat multiple times as needed.

If the toilet is overflowing but there’s no clog, that’s a sign that the issue is deeper in the system, and plunging may not help. A blockage in your home’s plumbing, the plumbing vent, or even city sewer lines can cause toilets to overflow. The issue could also be the toilet itself if the filler float isn’t set to the correct height or if parts are damaged or worn out.

Costs vary by severity and access requirements. Typical pricing ranges from $100 to $350, increasing with complexity or for emergency services.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.
