"I had a great experience with REST Environmental. The owner, Greg, was very informative, professional, and knowledgeable in the service I hired him for. He was efficient and made the experience great. From start to finish, he and his business partner were prompt in responding to the issue and made me feel I chose the right company for the job. He explained everything he was doing for testing and how it was done and why. Then also took the time to inform and go over the test results with me thoroughly. I would recommend them for mold testing in the home and for any other services they provide."

"I hired a company for mold testing. They came out quickly which is what I wanted and many companies were unwilling to do. I did not want a company to do testing and remediation. I wanted testing alone. I got my testing and then the hard sell to another company for self remediation. I dislike the scare tactics employed. The mold testing is the basis for their sales pitch to use another company to sell mold remediation products. I would not rely upon the company for any information interpreting the test results. I would find someone who is independent to tell you what the test results mean. Again, this is because your questions are filtered through a hard sales pitch."

"I received a call back the same day and was impressed with the information provided and transparency about their process. Every part of the process was disclosed and the cost is affordable.. There were no hidden cost and the results are bona-fide. We now know what type of dangerous mold we were exposed to in this apartment building and can take the necessary steps for our health."

"Trademark Building Solutions was great to work with. They provided a fast and thorough response to get our house put back together after a plumbing issue. Cost of the work was estimated correctly and timing concerns with trades people was done with clarity and respect to both myself and the team involved. The work was done right the first time and with quality. All work was inspected by Trademark Building Solutions at completion and their follow up was outstanding with any concerns I had. I would recommend them for contracted services for home repair and would ask for their help in the future."

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Soaking memory foam can break down its structure over time or even encourage mold growth. However, brief encounters with moisture will not ruin your memory foam. As long as the mattress, topper, or cushion dries soon after getting wet, there's nothing to worry about. Just be sure to keep the affected item in an area with plenty of air and sun to encourage quick drying.

Although you can run a DIY test for mold inside your home by buying a test kit, you won’t know whether the strain of mold is dangerous. The best way to test for mold in a home is to hire a professional who can determine the specific type of mold that you have. If you’re worried you exposed yourself to mold and it’s making you ill, you could request a health test. Your personal doctor could test your urine, take a nasal swab, or test some body tissue to determine your potential exposure to mold.

Humidity, moisture, and a lack of ventilation can all cause mold to grow on surfaces in and around your home.

Mold loves moisture, so prolonged high humidity levels or standing water can trigger mold growth. Mold also needs a food source to grow on, such as wood, fabric or another material. However, it's moisture that's most important for mold growth, which is why you want to keep humidity levels low.

Most of the health problems associated with exposure to fiberglass insulation are short-term in nature. You may suffer from minor and temporary skin or eye irritation if you come into contact with it, and you may experience some sneezing, coughing, or breathing issues if you inhale fiberglass. Those with asthma and allergies may suffer more and longer. Though fiberglass was once a suspected carcinogen, there’s now no good evidence that exposure to fiberglass can cause lung cancer.
