"Finding responsive contractors in SW Michigan can be a real problem. We have some soft spots in our hardwood floor and requested an estimate from Michael Weber from Northwood. He was in the area and came out on the same day to look at the situation. He laid out three alternatives to solve our problem and recommended the least expensive, DIY repair. He cost himself money this time, but we’ll definitely be back."

"They did sand, but I noticed that many of the scratches that were there before the sanding were still there after. When I questioned them, I was told that they couldn't remove them without completely sanding the floors down to the bare wood. When the finish was being applied I asked that they use a satin finish to match the living room floor (which butts up to the dining area). They insisted that my finish was semi-gloss. When the finish dried, it was indeed different.  Lastly, when they arrived to do the work, I was told that in order to have the floor completely sealed they would have to put on 2 coats, which cost me another $78. Not told this previous to the work being done. The deal that I had purchased, was more expensive than advertised."
