"David was very professional, quoted me and I scheduled him right away. He did a great job of cutting out bad areas of long driveway and repaving it. Came back a few days later at first opportunity after rain stopped and sealed it. Highly recommend his services."

"I haven't driven on it yet but it looks good. They came when they said they would and were very polite. I didn't have to pay up front. They explained what they were going to do beforehand and answered my questions."

"They did two jobs for me. They extended a driveway, and redid the end of my driveway where the city had removed a colvert. Afterwards, they sealcoated the entire driveway as well. I would recommend this company highly. and I plan on using them again. He's outstanding to work with."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

A solid driveway starts with the right asphalt mix, and for most homes, dense-graded hot mix asphalt (HMA) is the most recommended. It’s both durable and flexible, making it a reliable choice for residential use. A properly compacted 2-3 inch layer on a well-prepared crushed stone base will hold up for years. In areas with harsh winters or scorching summers, a slightly modified mix can help prevent cracking and rutting. No matter the climate, quality installation is just as important as the material itself, so hiring an experienced contractor ensures a smooth, long-lasting driveway built to last.

Recycled asphalt is a durable choice for a driveway, but doesn’t have the same appearance and low maintenance as standard asphalt. For long driveways in rural communities, recycled asphalt can make a great choice. Recycled asphalt is 20% to 30% percent less expensive than standard asphalt and is better for the environment.

Professionals ensure a solid base and smooth finish, enhancing durability and appearance.

The decision to repair or replace your driveway depends on the extent of the damage. If your driveway has a few small cracks, a simple repair will do the trick. If you see larger cracks and potholes, it may be time to consider resurfacing or replacement. Resurfacing is a great option if more than 25% of the surface is damaged, but if the damage is extensive—deep cracks or significant sinking—it’s best to replace the driveway entirely. A new driveway, with proper care, can last decades while patching or resurfacing might only hold up for a few years before needing more attention.
