"Lee performed a chimney inspection/cleaning in our recently purchased home. He was seriously one of the friendliest people I've ever met. He gave me a full step by step overview of his inspection and discussed any of my concerns and gave terrific advise. Basically both of our chimney crowns looked pretty shabby and I wasn't sure if we'd make it through the winter without roof/ceiling problems. Lee showed me exactly what to and gave me a great quote to rebuild both chimneys when funding permitted. I for sure plan to schedule this further work in the coming months. "Our living room ceiling was damaged from a previous roof leak. The plaster was cracked and loose. It looked really bad. Mr. Jones repaired the damaged plaster and repainted. We have a large open living room with a ceiling that flows into the dining room and another room. It's not possible to tell where the new painting stops. My husband (a commercial electrician and renovator of rental properties) came home and said, "this is flawless work!" He didn't know the name of the company! Mr. Jones was prompt in returning my initial phone call. The work was started quickly and they finished in just a few days. I would definitely use this company again!"

"We contracted with JAM Home Services (Jeff) to repair and paint walls, ceilings and closets in the living/dining room and 3 bedrooms of our house. We also asked about installing base board where missing/damaged and also installing shoe molding in all rooms (we had just had carpeting removed and hardwood floors refinished), While his was not lowest estimate for the project, we were impressed with his knowledge, suggestions for successful completion and his professionalism. At our request, he suggested several colors that would work with the hardwood floors. We agreed on a start date, which had to be firm, to meet a specific timeline to place our house on the market. A week before start date, he checked in with us to be sure we still on schedule. As it happened, other projects were already completed, so he started a week earlier than planned and completed the project withing the 4 days he had originally estimated. We could not have been more pleased with the result! Each day, the work space was cleared and cleaned, except for drop cloths left to protect floors. He repaired a baseball-sized hole in the wall in one bedroom, repaired a crack in the plaster above a door in the living room, filled all nail holes. The paint on all ceilings, wall and closets was smooth and even - no messy corners or bleeding edges. The new base boards and and shoe molding were such great enhancements to the rooms. We highly recommend JAM Home Services for anyone with home repair or improvement project needs!"

"I've used Cook's Plastering twice (10 years apart). They repaired water damage to my plaster ceiling and a large crack in my kitchen plaster wall. "We had a mold issue almost 2 years ago that required the floor & drywall in & around a basement bathroom to be torn out.  We had been unhappy with the basement even before that, however.  The sink & toilet in the tiny bathroom needed to be replaced & the whole basement was badly designed & poorly executed.  We dragged our feet replacing the walls & floor because we didn't really even know where to start.  Rob & Zack came in and worked with us to figure out the best course of action.  They knew exactly what they were doing and were able to recommend solutions where we had only seen insurmountable problems.  First they ripped out an ugly wall of paneling & cabinets and replaced it with a nice wall & door in a much more spatially advantageous configuration.  They hung drywall in the walls & ceiling, replacing all of the damaged areas and taking special care to merge it with the areas we weren't re-doing.  They replaced a good deal of the plumbing in the bathroom in addition to replacing the sink & toilet.  The plumbing was quite old and while they were working on it, they ran into some really nightmarish blockages, but they never complained, they just stayed as late as they had to to get it sorted out.  They even installed new lighting in the hallway & built a little box to hide some ugly cleanout ports.  We had only planned on remodeling the damaged side of the basement, but when it became clear that we weren't going to be able to join the new vinyl flooring to the old vinyl, they brought in a carpet guy to show us samples & give us an estimate.  They moved all the furniture we had on that side (and we're talking about some heavy stuff) so that we could carpet the whole space.  Basically we got a totally remodeled basement when we had only planned to fix up part of it.  And the cost was about what we had originally planned.  While they were here, they also did some work in the kitchen, replacing dishwasher & faucet & running a water line for the icemaker.  They did a fantastic job & I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs some work done around the house.  Even if you don't know exactly what you want.  Where I once dreaded going down to the basement to do laundry, now we love it & even entertain guests there."
