Customers say: Quick response

"They arrived on time, removed the old window coverings, installed the new ones, and hauled away the packaging and old rods and curtains. The cost was very reasonable. We have more window treatments to install and we will definitely use them in the future."

"AWESOME!  It has been +6-years since the Window Film was applied.  Still going strong.  No wrinkles, no peeling, and still looks just as nice as when we first had the films installed.  We clean 2x per year with regular off-the-shelf spray-on Windex type solutions.  We hesitated to call them, thinking it would be too expensive.  We nearly bought a DIY kit from the construction store.  Very happy that we didn't do that!  The cost was less than $640 for 8-regular size windows plus 1 massive living room window... half requiring a very tall ladder to reach.  These are all of the "common area" windowns in a 2-story home that we did not want to have window coverings on.  Huge improvement in living room comfort, the thermostat can actually keep the room hot and cold now... huge improvement in glare, and adds privacy because very hard to see into the home from outside.  They showed up on time, clean and professional.  I did notice after they had left that the ladder they used scratched the wall paint, but that was 6-years ago before Angie's List was even a website so I can't grade them poorly for that now.  We love this film and would recommend this company to anyone looking to have this service done!"

"needed help with network security cameras in my home.  Mr. Jim did not have experience with them but he was more than willing to try.  He was very responsive and determined to fix the problem.  He was not going to charge me if he couldn't help me.  He did exactly what he promised and completed this project with a great attitude!  I highly recommend him and will definitely utilize his help in the future."

"

They were prompt, the sales was low-pressure, the door itself was lifetime warranted, and the install was smooth.  After the install they cleaned up the mess and remove the old door.  Because the door was lifetime warranted, All Weather Seal has come out to repair it in the past, and has always been as professional as ever.  An excellent company, I have used them to replace all of my windows as well. Highly recommended!

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Window screens are available in several standard sizes. Common dimensions include 24 to 36 inches wide by 36 to 48 inches tall, as well as sizes like 18 by 14 inches and 20 by 20 inches. These often correspond to standard window sizes, such as 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall or 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall. Screens are also sold in replacement rolls to accommodate various dimensions. It is always best to measure your windows for accuracy before a repair or replacement. If your windows are a non-standard size, you will likely need to order custom screens, which can increase the cost. However, a screen does not necessarily have to fit the entire window, so you may be able to use a standard-size screen even if your window is slightly larger.

Window seals don’t last forever, so they’ll inevitably fail for one reason or another. One of the most common reasons is the expansion and contraction of the glass. When the glass gets warm from sunlight, it expands and adds pressure to the seal; at night, as the glass cools, it contracts. This process, day in and day out, can eventually cause the seal to fail. Other common sources of failure include the house settling over time, chemicals that damage the seal when repainting windows, and incorrect window installation.

Common problems include leaks, broken glass, and damaged frames. Regular maintenance prevents extensive damage.

There are a number of ways to secure windows. You can add motion detectors or window sensors to detect movement and impact or change the window locks to make them stronger. Some of the ways you can secure windows are much like how you secure a home: closing the curtains at night and setting up security cameras outside so you can monitor your property even in your absence.

Yes, adding windows adds value to a brick house. Homeowners don’t shy away from more natural light and an opportunity to get fresh air. Adding a window is particularly beneficial if you live in an area with good weather for much of the year or if your home has a nice view. Keep in mind that many older brick homes have historic wood windows that add to the charm of the house. When you install a new window in a brick house, you’ll want to find one that matches the aesthetic of the existing windows.

While windows increase a home’s value, how much they increase it can vary. It depends on the age of the home and the type of windows. You can expect about 70% to 85% return on investment (ROI) when adding a window to your home.
