Matt and his crew handled a whole slew of projects around the home I just purchased like water damage repair, new flooring, structural repair, and some electrical work. His crew was friendly, explained things well, was respectful of the house and cleaned everything up. Absolutely deserves 5 stars and I would recommend Matt to anyone!

The overall work was great. There were issues along the way that makes it difficult to give higher than a 3/5. I would break it down like this: Reliability: 1 out of 5. They never showed up when they said they would. We were often told they would be there at 9am, but then we were lucky if they were there by 2pm. They would say they were on their way at 10, but then now show up until 4pm. There were many days during the project where they didn't show up at all. We tried to be understanding of extenuating circumstances, such as truck issues and high heat indexes. We were also understanding of the distance the crew has to travel to get to us, though that is something they should have considered before accepting the job. Communication: 1 out of 5. In most cases, we had to initiate the contact to get any information on when or if anyone was going to show up. There was a complete lack of communication. We were very frustrated and annoyed throughout the majority of the project. We also had to request, multiple times, for an itemized invoice so we knew what we were paying for. We never did get one. Quality of work: 5 out of 5. Both decks are beautiful and well constructed. If I was reviewing on the work alone, the score would be much higher. The crew he brought with him were hardworking and cared about the quality of work they were doing, which was amazing. The entire project, as a whole, was stressful. The end product is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. To say we have mixed feelings about this company would definitely be accurate. It's hard to rave about the work that was done when the level of professionalism was so low.

"where to even Begain well for starters your welcome for moving good paying local customers to fit your long distance over hour an a half one way mind you.An as for being chewed out for literally throwing a hand full of dirt an what four one inch pieces of dirt in the dumpster you paid for because you were upset that you couldn't use the one at my office an took everything I had promised I would dispose of. why you thought there would of been room for your garage clean out prosses I have no idea. but you seem too have filled it just fine an there wouldn't of been anywhere even close to fit the stuff you want to put in my dumpster anyways. Also took two extra days because you didn't have all the materials you needed to build your Deck plus I nocked off 500 for the couple 2x6 wolminzed boards you had left just too be a nice guy an help you but that's what I get for saving you 500 bucks you should of just say thank-you instead of that stupid book or a review you just gave thanks but no thanks should of never even took your job sorry I did an awesome job but the way an went out my way but it's cool thank God all my customers aren't as how do I put it rude an two faced as you have been."

I gave Matthew 200 dollars two weeks ago for supplies. He quoted the job and even came out and covered the chimney. I wrote a previous review at his request. I was sure he would complete the job. Each time I have contacted him, he says this week. Well it has been 2 weeks and it is not done. This time he said Sunday and he never showed up today. Do not hire this contractor if you want the work completed. The previous review I left is incorrect. Thank you

Matthew was very professional, dependable and honest. A mason did not complete the job that I had paid him quite a bit of money for. He was supposed to have completely rebroke the chimney that was having issues. Matthew came over and topped it off and he’s going to repair the bricks that The other bricklayer did not complete. He is dedicated to his work and will go out of his way after normal hours it was 1030 at night when he got to my house. I highly recommend hiring Matthew he is very honest, dedicated and gets the job done. Prices are very fair.

Matt does outstanding work. I could not be more pleased. I had a complicated installation of a new track lighting system that was confusing, and was delivered with with incomplete instructions. He figured everything out and solved assorted glitches and complications. His work is careful and accurate and meticulous. He also repaired our basement ceiling tile, which was a ‘70s mess. Old fashioned tile had fallen, broken, or worked loose in several spots. I was able to find matching replacements and he quickly made it all look like new. He spent a solid 8 hours straight working on these two projects . I especially appreciated this because he had to come from plus-30 miles away, and I had thought it would take much longer., at least 2 days. Everything is perfect. I would trust him completely with any repair, and I hope to call on him in the future. I will have some projects lined up for warmer weather. He offers far more than a handyman service. I am so glad Angie’s list put me in touch with him. I posted an earlier review after he took care of several, quick small repairs, but these were two big ones and very different. in scope

He sent me a quote and sent him a deposit. He never showed up at the time as promised he come. When he show up he did not finish the job that on the same day he promised and he didn't come back until after 9pm at night the next day. He sent me an invoice and up charged me extra $100, which is not on the contract. He came at evening that is very disturbing to me. I am not pleased with the work management. He is very unprofessional. I will not use him ever again.

Matt took care of several small projects the first day and will be returning for several bigger fixes. He did an excellent job on the small stuff and I am looking forward to having him complete several bigger repairs once the materials are delivered.(Any delay is on my end.) He reviewed the upcoming projects thoroughly and gave me reasonable cost estimates. He will be repairing some damaged basement paneling from the 70s, replacing a lot of basement ceiling tiles from the same era, and installing new kitchen ceiling lighting. We are also talking about replacing windows in one bedroom and he has been very helpful in providing info on options., making my choice easier. He was very knowledgeable about all the details involved, and I am confident he will do an excellent job.

This was a tough job that was accomplished very easily due to experience (40+ years) and vast knowledge of materials. I called 20 people in town and all turned down the job because of their comfort level with cutting into corian eg fracturing and further damages. None of that happened whatsoever here with these experienced professionals. Thanks for delivering on the promises! Will use for more jobs around in the house in the future.

Posting for my mother... DO NOT USE MTS CONSTRUCTION SERVICES of Flint, MI! [*** Link removed ***] I live in Detroit which is an area they also service. I found them from Angies List and hired them to install three doors and a kitchen countertop. Eventually they kept giving me excuses to why they cant come finish the work. From no babysitter, to church, to no transportation. Why schedule to come do the work when you know your not going show up? As if the scheduling wasn’t enough, the work was done incorrectly. None of the doors close, the countertop isn’t secured properly and the garbage disposal was reinstalled incorrectly and is now spewing food and water up in the sink. They said they were going to fix the issues but have now completely abandoned the job. We settled on giving me a portion of my money back (which i paid the full costs upfront through PayPal) and they were supposed bring me a check or finish the job yesterday (Monday) but now They claim they have to wait weeks for approval from they’re payroll department. I don’t work for them! I waited long enough for this botched job. They also agreed to install a TV mount, and throw in some closet doors but The TV is mounted near the ceiling and the closet doors are completely off. Don’t hire them!

Matt and his team did a great job helping me fix up my father’s house for sale. They went above and beyond for us. In 20 degree weather they climbed on top of a gazebo to put glass work back on top and made sure the rest of the glass was redone so it would stay up. They were quick and efficient.
